I personally prefer the country more aesthetically, but I have arachnophobia, which also causes me to fear most other bugs (with an exception to things like worms because they look nothing like spiders).
If I actually lived in the rural countryside, I'd go crazy from fear because of all of the bugs XD (I'm even terrified of butterflies ;A;)

Oh, I didn't now Arachnophobia can cause fear of other things other than spiders.

Sorry, the way I worded it wasn't clear XD
Arachnophobia is not really the cause, it's more like when I see other bugs my brain just automatically associates them with spiders.

Either one works for me, I love both the country and the city and both are beautiful.

I can see how thats possible
for me I like how both of them are so exotic at least compared to the suburbs where I live, so boring...
The country has space and is relaxing, you can just get lost in it
and the city has so much excitement and speed and at night the lights have an elegant beauty to it and the skyscrapers are awesome
of course both are stunning in their beauty at least to me

You think so? I really don't like anything about cities. They are cold and fake with all the concrete and plastic and steel and metal... it's not very welcoming to me. ;-; I don't see the city as beautiful at all. XD It's interesting how technology works and what all they can do in cities, but it's not just anything I want to be a part of. lol

True but isn't everything in this consumeristic society. I've learned that their is beauty in almost everything even if its born out of filfth and human ambition and to just take it as it is and not criticize it for its origin
Not that that's what your doing thats just my observation
Everything I see has a good and bad side, yin and yang, its that contrast that really fascinates me
You are correct about the unwelcomeness of city folk, your more likely to get mugged than see a friendly face but that can be said for almost any neighborhood with people in it
but there is something I have found in cities that I haven't found in the place I've grown up in, diversity
In a city you can meet some of the strangest and interesting people whether that abnormality is for better or for worse is up to your judgement of course though, then there is the question of whether there is such a good thing as good or bad or if normality exists (which I don't think it does) but that is a different conversation
of course the same phenomenon can be found in the country

It's not the crime I don't like, and I know the world is a system of balances, I just don't like cities much. It's just not as welcoming in my opinion.

But each person has their own preference I guess. XD

rural. I like nature, and I don't really like big cities like Rotterdam but I love Utrecht and Gouda.

I don't really care about that in cities... it's about the buildings. cities with lots of new and tall buildings make me claustrophobic, even if I'm in a park or something. older cities with old buildings feel more natural to me.

I like being in the city because I spend most of my time indoors anyways haha.
But camping or visiting my family out in BC is always a treat!

I'd like it more if I didn't like hate bugs and cold weather and wasn't lazy.
I'll probably get more into it in my late 20's I think! :3

I love in a rural town in England but I'd prefer like a suburban, because then you have piece and quiet yet you can just pop into the city if you want something interesting to down with your day. As in the town i lived in, i was bored very easily.

Yeah, having access to the benefits of the city is nice, but I'd still stick to my country-woods. XD

A hybrid-y sort of thing I guess. Like these other people just kind of a mix. But rural is better of the two I suppose.
