It helps me figure out how they do their work, and it makes me feel better about being so sloppy.

lol I'm a little disorganized in my space in appearance, but I know where things are. XD

I've got the same issue, and I rarely meet people who get it. So it's definitely refreshing seeing those kinds of work spaces. I've actually taken basic organization tips from some artists' workspaces, like where to store things to keep them from rolling around/getting lost.

My issue is having to put everything away. I often just store things on the table in front of me. Laid everywhere. Lol

I have more of an obsessive compulsive need for everything to be in place, if it's to be organized in a typical way. But if it's not organized, I just make sections of the desk devoted to certain things. Like, pens here, erasers here, pencils there, refs here, workspace there, snacks here, etc. But it's just zones, not specific places.

I know a lot of artists are like that. XD Not me though, which is probably why I lose things a lot.

Well, it's kind of alright in some ways. I find the more organized I try to be, the worse my art is. Like, right now I'm working exclusively before and after school and at lunch on a big piece, since I need around 15 more pieces within the next year to pass IB. But since it's not in class and I don't have a desk or a place to put my stuff, I have to be very careful about where everything is. And the piece looks pretty bad right now. So yeah, organization is dumb.
