King Sketchbook COM: 1-100 by Ahkward King Sketchbook COM: 1-100 by Ahkward
EDIT: It was brought to my attention from multiple people about the transfer of feathers of certain birds is illegal under the Migratory Bird Act. These feathers (pretty much all of the ones I had in here), will be removed from my sketchbooks. This makes me sad, but I will abide by any and all laws regarding animals. Thank you for letting me know guys!

I looked at the page which you have auctioned the sketchbook. I didn't realize it was that long ago. Just to say how things have changed, I wasn't really looking forward to have a job in the field I'm studying back them. Now, I' very excited for the internship I have next summer!

Almost 200 pages of scanning, it must have been quite the tedious job!

I am horribly embarrassed it was that long ago! However back then I had no plans to move as much as I have! I have moved 6 times since I sold the book! To a new city everytime, plus new jobs each time, all my debt... just a horrid mess these last two years.

I have an internship as well over the summer! What is yours in?

Aha yeah it took a couple hours to scan everything and then to stitch them all together took almost a few days! Lol

You shouldn't be embarrassed! Like I said in part 2 of the scans, I wouldn't do such big project even for a personal project.

You have moved 6 times in two years? Oh dear, those 2-3 years must have been very rocky! Is your situation more stable now?

Awesome! What is your internship in? My internship is in computer sciences, most likely in web projects. I'll work in the place which I had my first internship, because I loved to work there.

The amount of work just for scanning proves that the project was a big one. :P

Yeah I moved a lot due to financial troubles. I am stable for the moment. It will all depend on how my internship goes over the summer. Odds of me getting a job are low, but I am hopeful!

I will be in the Editing/Marketing/Publishing departments of TokyoPop (Manga company). I have to move to Los Angeles, California and work unpaid for about 2 months. Hopefully at the end of it I will be offered a job..... if not, well I dunno. I am making a savings for afterwards should the worst option happen.

So interesting to see behind the scenes and how much work going into the work outside of wip.  The world building if done right, is fun to look at.

Aha the behind the scenes here at my studio is pretty chaotic. My sketchbooks are pretty much a normal day for me, being pulled in multiple directions a day all the time! Thankfully for my watchers, I have 5 more of these coming over the next few months! So much to do! So little time! lol (OTL 1000 pages of art in 5 months RIP)

Damn. You are a hard worker and a workaholic. But it looks like it's working out of starting to work out for you. :) I can imagine that it gets a bit crazy.

I'm going to be trying to get myself going and work hard to figure out what works. Along with what I could do that might help me mentally in the long run.

Being busy is good but managing ways to help yourself is also good. You do have a lot of drive.

Drive I think is only a small part of it. I REALLY love what I do, so I can work 18 hour days and not get wiped out! If anything I get physically tired, but I just love drawing and illustrating! I think a key part of it is to find out what type of art you really love the most and find a way to make money at it. XD

I mean outside of art. You work a lot outside of it as well. I prefer sketching to anything else. Idk why. XD

Sketching is freeing and relaxing... kinda like exercise for the mind of an artist I think. XD At least based on how people talk about exercise. (i wouldn't know! OTL
