I'm not an amazing artist but this is just beautiful. I love the wisps of firey red hair. The eyes are magnificently realistic and you can see the glassy sheen that shows only when you cry, not the mention the tear drips are prefectly placed. I can't express how much i love this artwork, though i'm trying my best. Colors you used for the face is so visually appealing i can't get over it. Also, me, being the one that adores freckles, loves the small spattler you added on the cheeks and nose for that effect. Lastly, the nose is extremely proportionate to everything else, and i find it to be downright cute, the same goes for the lips. To me thay almost seem cracked, not sure if that was the effect your going for, but i think it pulls everything together. Your artwork seems simple, but if someone truely believes that there wrong. You must have put a lot of work into it, no matter how much time you spent. This is my first critique and I do hope I have done your artwork justice.

This may very well be my favorite of yours.

I literally leaned back in my seat when I clicked open the image. The eyes are incredibly intense and beautifully done. The red violet surrounding her eyes is heavy when needed and yet so delicate on the white of the sclera and the bottom lid.The way the colors move throughout are just lovely, and the red of her hair and of the wounds stand out strongly while aiding in bringing out the rest of the details.

The only area that doesn't seem as strong to me is the lips, though I can't entirely figure out why. The upper lip almost feels as if it needs a darker shade or more contrast. I'm not altogether sure.

Otherwise, this piece is stunning and moving. Fantastic work. :D

This picture really stopped me in my tracks! Love the emotion it captures. So much so that I used it the visual for one of my songs called 'Crying'

I love the associated poem with this. I'm not smart enough to quite get it though. What are "passive tears"? Like, tears you can't control?

I can't like this, even though it's a stunning image, nor can I offer a critique. Too many bad memories.

i love the colors you used. most people just use a pale brown for a base skin tone and work from there but pieces like this are perfect- you've managed to make this look like skin without a dull beige underneath and every thing on the face is an actual distinct color. i also love that you did this in oil and somehow it's come out in some places as soft as watercolor, except still dramatic the way oil should be.

I am not an art critic, nor do i have any experience in traditional art, but these can't stop me from expressing my feelings about this picture. This is one of those works that you look at and only after a while you realize that you didn't even blink while admiring it.

From all your artworks, this is definitely in my top 3, not only because it resonates with me, but because it spreads pure emotion through its amazing details. It's that mix between submission and determination, vulnerability and strenght to look the problem in the eye that make it so special.

You have this gift that lets the viewers interpret your works and resonate with them, even though they may not think/feel the same you did when you painted it. For me, the eyes are the pure source of emotion for this piece, once you look at them you are completely drawn into her mood; perhaps it's just me, but as i said before, i can almost feel the pain and the will to overcome it in her eyes.

This is a great piece, Silvia, one of your best, if you ask me!
Great job

Jaw-dropping. I'm looking for something to go with Celtic Roots's "Shule Agra" ... I won't use yours (for one obvious reason which looks like a C with a circle around it) but holy crap, you deserve me stopping to say ...holy crap. Jaw-dropping.

I can't express what I feel while looking at this piece, but I had to write something, this is like living the life of somebody else, feeling his thoughts, fears, and hope, I sink into her eyes as to look for a way out but only find what it is : life.

thank you for your art, it's pure and real.

I really like this painting, its a striking departure from your usually vivid watercolor paintings and it really works for me. I like the fact that she is looking directly at the viewer, to me that shows a defiance or strong will to be so bold in her personal vulnerable moment. This gives me the feeling of resilience, hope and strength. That is so inspiring! What a wonderful thing to be able to convey!
I just recently found you on YouTube and I am a big fan. I thought the only thing to expect from watercolor was what you find in a doctors office! Thank you for sharing your art and showing me the error of my thoughts! Watching you paint is absolutely mesmorizing. I am now a walking advertisement for you.

I really like this painting. To me she is being bold in her vulnerability. To look directly at the viewer in a moment so personal suggests a strong will and defiance. Someone who can overcome whatever pains her right now and in the future. It's gives me a feeling of hope and strength. I love the use of muted color, quite a striking difference to most of your work in color.
I just recently found you on YouTube and I am a big fan of your work. I can't get enough of watching you paint. I didn't have much knowledge of watercolor, I just thought most of it was the type of thing you see in a doctors office! You've shown me the error of my thinking by being such a champion for your craft. Thanks for sharing your work on so many social media sites, I will be a walking advertisement for you!
