Astounding - especially for something you did in 'a little free time'.
The haphazard brush-strokes and splotches bring focus to the detail, which in my opinion is brilliantly depicted with the eye. My attention instantly fell on the eye with its crisp clarity in the iris enveloped by a contrasting bluish shadow. Simply beautiful!
I can see that you've tied in the use of sudden red on the bottom lip with some red in the eye, but I think that lip red is a slightly out of context with the general palette. Perhaps that richer purple underneath the eye would have suited that dash of colour on the bottom lip.
The only other critique I have is that I cannot see a signature. Sign it - it's worth it!

As many has commented, this is truly a beautiful artwork!
She is almost like a flower (particularly a pansy/carnation) that has been 'humanized'<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="

I would've liked to see just a teeny bit more hair on her.. not too much; maybe tied up into a bun and a bit more fringe.
I like how you did a different and natural colour for the eye.
I also love the colours you have used for everything else. Purple and especially blue have a calming effect when you see it and how you have displayed those colours in this painting is just magnificent.
I'm not sure if those brush marks coming down from her ear is meant to be a neck.. but if it's not I think there should be a neck shown there.
Personally (only personally!)I might've liked a butterfly somewhere ^^

Beautiful picture,truly beautiful<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/n/n…" width="15" height="15" alt="

What I don't like is that you didn't made the hair, and fuse it with the background....I mean,it would be nice to suggest its flow at least...I think the picture would have looked more intresting, more fabulous....
And what bothers me is that eye...I think it's a bit ackward positioned,I think it sholud be a little bit lifted...I mean, the exterior corner is too low....and if the character in the picture is a female,I think she should have some eyelashes, too, for effect, you know<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="

All in all,the picture is still lovely, and I really think you can fix the little problems<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l…" width="19" height="19" alt="

We found this in a Google image search and liked it and downloaded it, then manipulated it; it's here on our dA page and if you don't want us to use it, please say so and we'll take it down.

How do you just know when the facial structure ends and the water colour begins? Or what happens, do you feel something at each change of medium? I can see deep into these souls... I would be very surprised if all of your work was not a real model... Thank you, you inspire me to get out my water colours again.
