if it takes place before the inquisition: Alistair has the Grey Warden stamina and an early-Templar training. Blackwall was trained as a soldier. SO Alistair could win, but only if they are not fighting in a field full of traps.

Blackwall seams overall a more experienced fighter then Alistair. I mean sure there is the argument about the templar training and such but the ability of negating the mana only helps out with Mages and Demons(or spirits) In a physical outcome they are soldiers in metal plated armour. So we don't know if their training in armed combat is any better then the training of a chevalier knight. I make the assumption that since that Templars are mainly trained to deal with mages and demons, they wouldn't focus in armed combat as much as say the Chevalier themselves. Which is an order of knights that are acknowledged by many to be excellent armed martial fighters, and since the Chevaliers are expected, like any normal order of knights really, to deal with normal enemies, they most likely seen more armed combat then any templar that was more likely dealing with apostates, demons or abominations.
