This is the largest city on Aenya: Hedonia. For thousands of years, Hedonia used its port at Sarnath to dominate the city states surrounding the Sea (Aenya's sole body of water).

I love triremes and this picture is great. Atmospheric and a great sense of authenticity.
You know Masefield's poem Cargoes ?
Quinquireme of Nineveh from distant Ophir,
Rowing home to haven in sunny Palestine,
With a cargo of ivory,
And apes and peacocks,
Sandalwood, cedarwood, and sweet white wine.

Stately Spanish galleon coming from the Isthmus,
Dipping through the Tropics by the palm-green shores,
With a cargo of diamonds,
Emeralds, amythysts,
Topazes, and cinnamon, and gold moidores.

Dirty British coaster with a salt-caked smoke stack,
Butting through the Channel in the mad March days,
With a cargo of Tyne coal,
Road-rails, pig-lead,
Firewood, iron-ware, and cheap tin trays.

Thanks for the comment and the poem, Plastic. Although I did not design this myself, I also love triremes and ancient naval warfare, which is why I made it part of my novel. Too often we see fantasy inspired by British and Germanic myths. I thought it would be great to make something inspired by Greece and Rome, hence Hedonia.
