Let’s Talk About Reboots

This one has been a long time coming. I didn’t want to post this until I was sure that I got my point across without sounding biased against any form of reboots, remakes, or re-interpretations of any form of  media.  That and I have been both busy and lazy these past few days. As always, these are my thoughts and my thoughts alone on what I feel the community should keep in mind about reboots and you are completely allowed to disagree with them. In fact, I would like to here other people thoughts on this matter. Now, let’s begin.

What people need to understand is that not every developer of a remake is going to have your best interest at heart. In fact, most reboots in general are going to focus on catering to new audience rather than focussing on the ones that came before and thus, more often than not, reboots are going to be susceptible to some changes. Reboots are allowed to be as different and creative as they want to be and are completely allowed to make whatever changes they deem necessary for their show that they are producing.

When it comes to reboots, there is no one proper way to do them. There are some reboots that chose to follow in the originals footsteps, while others chose be more diverse. Both are special in their own ways.

That’s all for now. I was going to make this longer, but I decided to stop right here and just elaborate on this more in the comments section. Bye for now.
Let's Talk About Reboots
This was going to be so much longer, but I feel that this is good enough. Short, sweet, and strait to the point. If you want me to elaborate more, just comment down below.

Alright, so here's what's going on. I seem to have gotten used to navigating the site now (for the most part). That means that I feel comfortable to start posting art now. However, that won't be until I get a few things straitened out. I also want to address that I want to be written journal entries on things other than cartoon politics, but I have a few more things to talk about in those regards.
So basically, expect to see a few more journal entries about me venting on the stupidity of cartoon politics and other unpopular opinions. As soon as that's all done, I hope to never return to these topics again. I do not want to build up this reputation of talking about nothing more than what annoys me in life and I don't want this page that I have created to become a toxic mess.
I hope to have more interesting things for you all in a little while. Till next time. Love
Unpopular Opinions of Mine 101

This journal entry is about me expressing some pretty unpopular opinions that I have regarding some T.V. programs that I like that others may or may not like. Hopefully this will be more flushed out than my “My Thoughts and Feelings Towards Others Opinions” entry. I won’t go into extreme detail for all, just the ones I really like.  As always, these are my thoughts and you are totally viable to disagree with them. I just ask that you be respectful of them all and please don’t accuse me of being wrong just because you don’t agree. It’s my opinion, don’t say it’s wrong. Also, the shows that will be listed are in no particular order according to my likeness of the show or other. Now, let’s get started.

1. PowerPuff Girls 2016

For starters, I like this show with a bit of passion and think that it is both underrated and incredibly overhated (more on that in some other entry).

I think that Amanda Leighton (Blossom), Kristen Li (Bubbles), and Natalie Palamides (Buttercup) being cast to voice the PowerPuff Girls was the right decision. And now that I have officially peeved off every OG PowerPuff Girl fan out there by making such a bold statement, I would like to explain why I feel this way about this decision. I feel that the new VAs don’t get enough credit for their hard work solely because they are not the same as the original. To that I have to ask, “Do they have to be”? Each one of them has succeeded in giving the new PowerPuff Girls their own identity that differs from the other. Amanda’s voice gives Blossom a certain spunk and inquisitiveness that meshes well with the personality and characteristics that she has in the reboot. Kristen’s voice for Bubbles make her sound more natural and sophisticated. She doesn't sound like she’s about to burst into tears every second which is perfect because this version of Bubbles rarely ever cries. Kristen’s interpretation of Bubbles always sounds confident in herself and it shows in many episodes of reboot. Finally, Natalie’s interpretation of Buttercup has her sounding more laid back than her original predecessor yet equally vicious. Her version of Buttercup always sounds so sure of herself and is probably the most likable of the three Puffs.

I like Kristen Li’s version of Bubbles better than Tara Strong’s. I love Tara Strong with all my heart and I appreciate her role as Bubbles in the 1998 series, but I love seeing Bubbles more as a confident person, as well as a gifted programer. Although, I don’t like her being treated like a dumb blonde from time to time.
I like 2016 Buttercup a lot more than 1998 Buttercup mainly because she is a lot nicer and level headed.

I think that Blisstina is a great addition to the team. For more elaboration on this check out my “Addressing the Blisstina Situation” entry.

2. Fanboy and Chum Chum

I was very fond of this show when I was little and I am happy to see that my love for it has not withered away with age. This show is very underrated to me and is sometimes hated for petty reasons. For what it was, it was indeed popular for the time being and even won 5 Emmy Awards. In my opinion, Fan vs. Wild is still the best episode ever.

3. Johnny Test

What can I say about Johnny Test that hasn’t be said already? Besides “I like John Test”. Whether you like it or not is up to you. However, there is no denying by every sane person out there that this show is overhated. Just yesterday I came across some psychotic game on Deviantart titled “Kill Johnny Test 2” I believe. If you want to, I’m sure that you can find it right now. Please don’t. Be better than this.

4. ThunderCats Roar

Call me crazy, but the idea of ThunderCats cartoon that is focused more on the absurdity of the idea of cat humanoids fighting foes that range from slimy amphibians to some oh-so-powerful ancient mummy thing isn’t a bad idea. As stated in my “My Thoughts on ThunderCats Roar and More” entry, the developer has a clear focus on what he wants this series to be. So we’ll just have to wait and see what happens when the show comes out next year.

5. Ben Ten 2016
Now, as a well seasoned Ben 10 fan I knew that another remake was inevitable. However, I don’t hate what we got with this series. To be honest, I haven’t watch a lot of this series, but from what I experienced, it has a good pacing in a lot of episodes. What I mean is that it knows when to be jokey-jokey and when to be serious at times. It is in know way a perfect remake, but it does offer some unique qualities that help it differ from previous incarnations. All I can say is that it hope it gets better.

6. Summer Camp Island

Why is this on the list you may be asking? Well the show is set to air on Cartoon Network soon, but already a lot of people are turned off to the show from it’s artstyle from what I’ve seen for the majority. I’ll be honest the style is a little… interesting and simple, but like ThunderCats Roar, I am still willing to give this show a far shot. I in particular am looking forward to see what it has to offer. Maybe it will surprise me.

7. Mighty Magiswords

Is underrated. Nuff said. It’s at least a B class show for me.

That’s about it everyone. If you want me to elaborate more on these shows, just comment down below.

Pretty much all of these shows belong to Cartoon Network.

My Thoughts and Feelings Towards Others Opinions and More.

This entry is hopefully going to be much shorter than my “Addressing the Blisstina Situation” one. Nothing special, just my thoughts on opinions and ideals of others as a whole (particularly when it comes to fandoms and such). Maybe this could inspire others to follow their own ideals and such. As always, these are my thoughts and my thoughts only. You are completely allowed to disagree and agree with them if you so please. Now, let’s get started.

For starters, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Never feel as though your opinion is invalid because others like to force theirs on you. When it comes to me, I have grown to become more accepting of others ideals even though they might not always align with mine. I am very passionate about my beliefs, but I am not hard-headed enough to not listen to others ideals. However, at the end of the day, I am most likely going to maintain my original outlook on life (for the time being).

When it comes to fandoms, I try to stay as neutral as possible (though it never really works out for long). I can accept that people do not feel the same way about things that I like or dislike. Although, it always bugs me when people treat their opinion’s like they are absolute fact or boast about their opinion because it’s what’s popular.

The thing about opinions is that everyone has one. They can sometimes be the same, yet different and different, yet the same. Opinions are not strengthened by quantity. Unlike facts, opinions are subjective and can be cast away easily.

That’s about it for this entry. Hopefully this inspires someone out there. If you want me to elaborate more on this subject, just let me know in the comments below.
My Thoughts and Feelings Towards Others Opinions
I feel as though this entry was a little rushed. I feel like I was kind of treading off topic a little which happens sometimes. Or is it just me? Let me know okay. I am still a Deviant-newbie so help is more than welcome here.
