Nikki's Valentine by Aeyerlock Nikki's Valentine by Aeyerlock
Happy Valentine's day! I'm celebrating this year with the lovable Nikki from Swapnote. She's dressed for the occasion in her Valentine Outfit.
I tried using the Valentine badge as a reference, but struggled to understand what the top looked like so I made my interpretation of the outfit.

What better way to send love letters than with the girl who always sends letters to hr friends. If you have a special friend you should give them one too.

Here's to a Happy Valentine's day. Even if you aren't in a relationship, you can always spend it with great friends.

I never understood how anyone could use photoshop for art that wasn't just editing something already made.

I'm sure photoshop only makes bitmap images (pixel based i mean), smooth curves like these are vector. I use Manga Studio 5.

Swapnote was discontinued years ago, but Badge arcade seems to love and remeber her (though they emphasise a lot of the girls, mainly Isabelle and Nikki)

Photoshop can do vector, although i use illustrator since it's more versatile when it comes to vector. Photoshop is an extremely powerful tool, just not always efficient.

oh really, i didn't even notice, poor Nikki, another forgotten nintendo girl :(
never downloaded badge arcade, but i see post for it all the time.

Photoshop is more rigid edged, illustrator is meant for those smooth curves.
There are better programs than those but it can help with some of the basics.

i wouldn't say better, maybe more efficient for certain tasks and styles, but yeah, photoshop and illustrator weren't designed for drawing purposes. photoshop was literally designed for photo editing and illustrator was designed of making logo's and combination marks.

I don't know If I'll ever use many of these adobe apps after I'm done with college.

After effects I'll prabably stick with.
