The king is back.
First time something thematic. First time so bright aaargh by half-blind eyes, they buuuurn~
My inspiration got really dependent on strong feelings. I don't really like Pinkie Pie (not as a character, through my life experience I  got some bad associations), but thanks to :iconswcaxapok: I managed to get through and get creative again despite the circumstances. So basically this is a gift for you, cutie.
Folks say, it's easy to hide tears in the rain. I say it's easy to hide edges in the blur. Hue hue hue.

I've always wondered how you get your images to be super vibrant, like there's a slight glow to em, but it's smooth almost de-focused, but still focused. Is that something you achieved through SFM or editing afterwards?
AeridicCore's avatar
I try to achieve this mostly inside SFM so that to ease my work in Photoshop afterwards.
The key is to have AO (very important!), focus on the main character, rimlights and at least one volumetric for volume expression. The colors should be as pastel as possible.
Since the bloom doesn't work at poster export, I achieve it in Photoshop applying classic soft focus filter from Color Efex Pro 4. Can also try cros-processing to make colors less contrast.
Basically that's all "vibrant" editing I do.

Wellp, I don't have AO, and if I do I have no idea how to tell if it's working, neither do I have photoshop, but thanks for sharing this info, I'll keep it in mind, maybe I can figure some way to get it roundaboutly.

Without AO you will lose the sense of volume.
Most of this pic colour scheme is produced by shadowing.

Wellp, then I guess I'm SOL, Thanks for the info though.
