This is just a quick one as I SHOULD be getting ready for work now
Amecon was fantastic despite a few issues that was more to the organisation of the event but I have risen from them and had a damn good con! I now have been attending conventions and cosplaying for 10 years and it's the perfect milestone!
I have cosplayed Pinky from MHA, Sonic from One Punch Man, Akari from Battle Athletes, Dagger from FF9 and done a full remake of Ladybug. I am very sad I have no pics of Ladybug as I only worn her for a couple of hours near the end but fingers crossed I will have a shoot as her and Sonic again when I am back at the gym again.
I am now engaged to my other half after being together for nearly 3 years! His family will be throwing an engagement party for us soon. We want to have fun orginising everything so we are taking it nice and slow and thinking around 2020 for the wedding! I got engaged during the masquerade and had a panel to assist in a few hours later so I was a little drunk, hence why I was a little slow on my part
Least I didnt freak out as there were a lot of people in front of me.
I will be off to Paphos in a few weeks so dealing with the stress of swimsuit shopping. I have gained weight lately so I have been having a hard time with it but ordered a few online and my aunt had a clean out recently so she helped me out big time. I still fit in to a few I worn in Zakynthos 10 years ago (god I feel old now! I was doing my A-levels back then!).
I have just turned 27! Had a lovely relaxing birthday with friends and, now, fiance ^^
After a very long hiatus I am back into video gaming! Been playing Rayman Origins and replaying FF9 lately!
Since my last post I stopped going to all AnimeLeague events. While I try to write down all the positives the events themselves are pretty...shit. Its been getting to the point I would stop going to them even if I was offered to go for free. I had to put up with so much unnecessary crap from the con staff and so did many others yet they wonder why so many people refuse to go to them these days!
As for other cons I am really sad about whats happening next Summer in the UK. Things are quite uncertain at the moment and I wish Kitacon the best of luck with the venue hunt! I have plans to go abroard and check out Japan Expo if the big Summer con is out of the water next year.
Due to my engagement I need to really have a sit down and think about the future more. I still need to move out of my family home so there are a lot of huge steps ahead. I am also thinking of a job change in the next year or so but I want something more than retail or leisure. I am not sure what I want to do yet but I am thinking of something where I can train and progress in. As much as I love art and graphic design I am in 2 minds of going back to that professionally. Might look into going into a route that helps people or something. I dunno.
