Since I know no one reads this, this is for me.My grandpa is an incredibly talented artist, and has been encouraging me to try to pick up a brush for years now.  I figured, what the hell?  Give it a whirl.  I've been painting miniatures for over a decade now, but I honestly don't think the two skills are comparable.  Trying to create something from nothing is hard as hell, and an altogether immensely rewarding process.I'm starting at zero here-- I feel very few, if any, of my minis skills translate to watercolors.  I've never even drawn things, so even my fundamentals are at their lowest.  But I'm somewhat determined, and more than anythin...

I have discovered photoshop... and it is good.  I'm starting to feel more comfortable with a camera, and am planning on doing some portrait work next week.  Let's hope it turns out well... you'll see it if it does.-Joe

I finally got my own camera.  Canon SX20 IS.  Hopefully I'll be able to take a photo worth submitting to deviantART... keep you posted.
