Page 1: Siren's Allure: Immortality

If you had one wish of a mermaid what would it be?

Find out what the Dream Weaver wishes for on www.patreon.com/AdventVoice

I had to make this one SFW (safe for work) because Deviant Art still has not gotten over their fear of the phallic symbols. Since I am alone in my defense of #bodypositive material and don't have much of a support group, I will concede the argument and continue censoring my material. I can't wait for the day when we evolve to our full potentials and are able to display the god-given gifts that make human kind envy of the gods. Sought after for procreation, and honored for having high libido's.

Scared Elvira
Requested Fan-Art:

I have always thought Elvira ~Mistress of the Dark,  to be one hot cookie. If I did not think  DC, Maila Elizabeth Syrjäniemi, Maila Nurmi, or  Vampira, would be offended for my partiality towards Elvira, I would seek to give her a feature in the Adventures of the Dream Weaver and see how she stands up against his bestial  affections and charms: www.deviantart.com/adventvoice…

Could she be persuaded by his musical ability: www.deviantart.com/adventvoice…

Would she be made to swoon by his poetic proficiency:  www.deviantart.com/adventvoice…

What would it take to make the heart of Elvira throb for the Dream Weaver?

Those of you that are like Elvira in your sense of independence, confidence, self-sufficiency  and need not the love of a man to feel validated, maybe you can assist me in solving this mystery, of the heart of Elvira.

Jenna Bryan is a concept artist and illustrator jennbry.wordpress.com/ who at the moment works at Ultimate Comics. I passed by the shop from taking care of errands in Raleigh, on the way to Crosswoods Plaza (it could be CrossStreet Plaza) I’ll find the exact address later. Anyway I walked into the comic book store looking for works and publications that had a similar flavor to my own and I really could not find it.

I ended up collecting the first few comics that struck my fancy or that I want to get into.

~Gillen Hans Cowles: D.I.E. #2 ~

~Mirka Andolfo’s: Unnatural #6 ~

~Fernando Ruiz & Dan Parent: DieKittyDie - Heaven and Hell #3 ~

I don’t normally do comic reviews of other’s works, thinking their work ought to speak for itself and does not have to be oversold by the likes of me; but I like the art and the uniqueness of the pieces.

While I am browsing at these works, I still can’t find the comic or illustrator that reminds me of myself, so I ask Jenna Bryan, who at the time I was not aware of her credentials or expertise. She has this shyness that would suggest, working in a comic book shop, was not always where she wanted to be and the fact that she has to sit in an archive of art material and look at characters or creators who get published for material that is beneath her talent, well I was  almost afraid to ask her anything, from fear of boring her. When I mustard up the courage I asked, “Which illustrator would you compare to my personal online illustrative showcase?”

She took my card and I thought she’d wait until she got home and was able to relax. Not having to think about work, or the boyfriend who lives ten hours away in New York and the distance that separates them. Instead, right there on the job, she pops up my website, www.avproductionsblog.wordpress.com and right off the top of her head she says, “Criminal.”

Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, who work for Image Comics, (where have I heard of that company before?) they created Criminal with the help of Jacob Philips with the coloring. I know exactly who she was referring to because Sean Phillips has been popping up all over my twitter feed. I could not understand why for the longest time. I told her as much, “ You know, for some reason as the years have gone by, no matter how many companies come and go, or stories produced by Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Tokyo Pop, and a lot of the heavy hitters, my hands tend to always gravitate to Image Comics.”

I was flattered and pleased that she took the time and I was able to learn so much from her, that she was wanting to talk shop and when she saw my work, was not completely mortified.

She compared me to Sean Phillips of “Criminal,” and that was just from looking at a portrait of Stormy Daniels. Which if I am honest with myself is not bad at all and why he is all over my twitter feed.

I was not going to read “Criminal,” at first, believing it to be like every other story produced by Image Comics, but I wanted to know what she saw, so I bought it.

After the first ten pages, I was hooked and can’t wait to finish the rest but I understand her vision and I respect her input.

Thank you Jenna Bryan for introducing me to such an interesting story. I also hope as you continue on your path, we cross-ways again.

Siren's Allure

After putting in a few hours work I managed to establish the overall coloring theme of the piece.

This is not at all complete, but I wanted to have you travel with me as I develop this piece. A production that I would have hoped would remedy my past neglect of devising a real cover page for the "Tales of The Traveling Dream Weaver."

CalipsoCere asked me for a mermaid a while ago and true to my desire to please those that ask for art, or desire to commission me, I sought to deliver on a promise.
The siren is an interesting creature and a challenge, I as an artist was very excited to take on. This is what we consider (safe for work) so I have decided to upload it here on DA. If you visit  www.patreon.com/AdventVoice you will find more of an in depth  discussion on the nature of mortal men and their love for the mermaid.
You will also learn what she saw in the Dream Weavers future and hints to up coming episodes between him and the siren.

Fusion Project

After being asked to participate in an Original Character Fusion Project, in which CalipsoCere  asked me to fuse her piece of art:

www.deviantart.com/calipsocere…

with my own www.deviantart.com/adventvoice…

I was able, with CalipsoCere help mind you, devise Clara.

This is the "Normal" version: Which does not really do much to fuse the properties of a man and a woman but there are other sites that illustrate such a notion.

In this rendition I just wanted to focus on the broad discussion presented in "Wound," Lo Pude Arreglar Un Poco: 'V A Eso Parece, (I need to ask her what that means, or how to translate it into English properly.)  In conjunction with "Fireball," daring to ask those that view the piece, "Who would you give your left arm for?"

I have been drawing for a long time running. Everything posted on adventvoice.newgrounds.com/ is really just what I have been devising in the past 5 years. I have a banner I put online to really show how I feel about Art and the conversation I would like to have with people that view my work. 1) Potential is never enough. 2) you will never see me draw something that has already been. I am a creator, a visionary, a Dream Weaver. my works take time, patience, and if there is room for improvement, we have to ask ourselves "What is the measurement for Art and what are we looking for?"
3.) I am not published and this makes me upset because the one's I see getting published are cheap imitators and not real Artists and so I can not listen to them, about something I have been doing my whole life. It is like Mozart taking advice about music from Jim Carrey, it does not work for me. 4.) I don't believe in the idea of "Bad Art." It can't possibly exist if the likes of what I have been made to suffer can receive the adoration of so many for so long.
I produce a lot of stories with my work. It has been a dream of mine since I was a child. To share my views with the world through my art.

Your welcome. I was just thinking about you the other day, wondering what new adventures you were getting into and how far has your story come along?
I will be sure to read some more of it, after our Hurricane situation blows over. I live in America and we are about to be hit pretty hard so that means no communications for a while.

Are you on twitter? Outside of DA is there any other way I could communicate with you. Maybe send you letters if we ever lost internet connection.
I always ponder what the world would be like without such advancements, how would we artists get along?

I never think too long on these matters, but I would like to keep with all of the wonderful people I have met along the way. Partially why I have taken to drawing portraits of wonderful artists, in hopes of keeping memories of where I have yet to be.
Maybe one day you will let me add you to my collection.
So far I have 4 in my gallery that stand out: "Russian Love," "Kyoyane," "Miss Q" "Maggie McNiell in the Goldfinch," and I have one that I am not allowed to post here because DA gets mad but I was commissioned to do it:
"E.B. Cotenord," www.deviantart.com/adventvoice…

My reputation as an artist is starting to blossom, I do believe I have another commission lined up from @LennaLeprena       she at least sent me little hearts at my offer to create a portrait of her for my showcase.
So I can't be all that bad.
