My Bio

I mess and play around with code and make them work and look good for a living, as well as learning, reading, writing, and teaching about them. At the same time, I continue to self-learn more skills that would also make me reliable and marketable. I also like to read (books, blogs, news, etc.), write (blogs and occasional fiction stories), travel (when there's money), Asian cultures (primarily Oriental (East and Southeast) Asia, which includes my own country, Japan, China, Korea, Southeast Asia, and Indochina), general history, anime & manga (mostly manga), video games, and more.

I wouldn't call art as my "passion," but I do love art. I'm not very good with traditional art, as I really don't have good eye coordination with the things I see. But I've learned a lot from watching tutorials about digital art and it's been a good foundation for me. One day, I'll take the time to learn character art, so I can create my own character illustrations one day.

First time I'm using the status update feature. I opened a separate IG account @adrimarsink to keep track of my art class progress. I'll still be uploading my artwork here, but I'm on "training mode" at the moment. I also started blogging more about ...

Happy New Year 2020

Happy New Year 2020

Hello! And a Happy New Year 2020 to you too! The image above is my current selfie turned vector art taken after arriving home from church and the memorial park to visit my late dad. I guess I decided to post up a self-portrait of myself as a start of the new year, new decade. I've got some plans on what I'm going to do here on DeviantArt. I haven't had much progress when it comes to artwork, but I do plan on finally taking advantage of my core membership, at least. As I add more pieces to my account, the more I'm beginning to think about commissions and selling prints of some of my original digital artwork. Because I recently quit my part-time repetitive job, at the side, I'd like to earn some money until I can finally bag a full-time web development job. The money I earn will also go to my bootcamp fees, so it would help a lot. When I do finally bag that dream job, I hope to continue on with this digital art commissions and print sales. I gave a few of my printed artwork as

Looking back

Looking back

Going back to DeviantArt since I long abandoned it for almost 10 years (including the times I stopped by, added some status or quick journals and stuff and disappear again), I have changed a lot. I've spent so much time with work and other things like different fandoms that I just didn't bother anymore with digital art. I focused so much with web development for work as well, so I sort of becoming a little lax when it comes to art and graphic design. In any case, I ended up doing more adult coloring books and more or less some lettering. I really loved the feel of holding a pencil, pen, and marker just to create something visual and be proud of calling it handmade. I really wanted to get into digital art, but because of my past "artist" life (and one of the main reasons why I left and abandoned DeviantArt and this account), I stopped focusing on it. I felt like a fraud back then when I simply took a photograph, opened it in Photoshop, messed around with it to make it look like
