This is a photo of Surprise Lake, taken in 2000 in the Watchung Reservation, Union County, NJ.
The Rez, as I affectionately call it, has been my home away from home for more than 30 yrs. It is not an exaggeration to say I have spent 1/2 my life in the forests of this park.
I practically grew up on these trails; horseback riding and hiking in all seasons. It is where I take 75% or more of the photos in my gallery and it is where I go to reconnect with nature.
It is one of the few large tracks of wilderness in Union County, NJ and is home to countless species of wildlife.

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Adrian passed away on the 8th October 2014. He was with our parents at the time and died in an ambulance as paramedics fought to save his life. We have only just found out that that the cause of death was a heart attack (a blood clot lodged in the right side of his heart).
