Description
Fortnum A1 Medium Self-Propelled Artillery
Developed in the 1940's as a Medium Self-Propelled Artillery to serve along on the frontline in service of the Arcand Empire, providing fire support for infantry platoons and heavy tank brigades on the battlefield.
The A1 was developed in light of a requirement for self-propelled artillery, but with a low-cost requirement. Several concepts were put forward, however the A1 provided the best mixture of low cost, fire-power and ease-of-maintenance; as it was heavily based upon the M1 Medium Tank.
The A1b modification adds an armoured casing to the fixed turret, fixing better protection to the crew in front line situations.
The image depicts the A1 Mk.I in a classic Arcand paint scheme, an Arcand Roundel on the turret and the Arcand flag on the side-skirt.
