Hanlon

“Drop your gun, turn around facing that wall so your nose touches it, and put your hands behind your back!” Officer Hanlon ordered me, her unblinking steely eyes fixing me with an intimidating stare.
What could I do? I obeyed, of course, tossing my gun to one side, turning around as she instructed and stood, with my hands pathetically held behind me, waiting for the triumphant and unarmed policewoman to handcuff me.
