Day #310: There Can Only Be One by adgerellipone Day #310: There Can Only Be One by adgerellipone

Well Sunset, you might as well just be a weird anomaly or something. But yeah, as far as I’m concerned at the moment, there is no EQG Sunset.

Some things to consider:
1. According to the Reflections arc, staying in an alternate world for extended periods is bad for the multiverse. There are two ways you could interpret this: Either the multiverse doesn't like more than one version of the same pony in one world; or, the multiverse likes everyone to be in their ‘native’ world.
This means that both the Sirens and Sunset are either directly the only versions of themselves in the EQG world, or are in some sense ‘native’ to both worlds, which would also make it unlikely that there's another version of them; otherwise, the multiverse would have been torn apart already.

2. The parallels between Equestria Prime and EQG are not world-sweeping the way they are between Equestria Prime and the Mirror Verse.
They are focused in space: Canterlot High and the surrounding city, for the most part, with the epicenter at Canterlot High.
They are also focused in time: Principle Celestia and Vice-Principle Luna have (presumably) normal lifespans, which means Equestria Prime's royal sisters were around long before they were born, and they'll grow old and retire very fast (on immortal timescales).
The space portion can be explained by the position of the portal in the statue in front of the school. But the time portion requires more; it requires that Sunset's crossing and the subsequent events be a locus point in time around which the parallels have shaped themselves, both into the future and the past.

This could all be interpreted as Sunset being important on a cosmological scale.

That moment when you realize there's no way to like posts on deviantart...

You sir, have not only made it so complex only understandable by someone who's fascinated with the multiverse such as me. But also used 'prime' as the way to state the 'main' universe instead of numbers. Kudos to you! ;P

If you ask me, them wasting another Equestria Girls movie on the original Sunset would be a waste. They should just do it in a little short and that be it if they do cover her

Someone mentioned in an interview or something last week that, while they're probably not going to cover it in canon, as of right now they don't think there is another sunset & it was her destiny to grow up and become a... er, what's the word. Ambassador of magic? For the human world

not sure how reliable the source is, but I'm going off of that

Strange indeed that there isn't a counterpart to Sunset.  The Multiverse works in mysterious ways.

.....I wonder if this means that there's something SPECIAL about Sunset?  :)

Many theories but we can all say that sunset is one of a kind. :D
