Aerith Death Cosplay

The burial of Aeris Gainsborough from Final Fantasy 7. This is a sequential series of photos recreating in live action the iconic scene. This was probably the hardest shot to get, because I had to sink from a certain distance to a certain distance above the backdrop while the photographer hovered over me. At first I was very sad that the sun was obscured by the clouds, but later when reviewing the shots it turned out to be perfect because the lighting was so diffused it really made everything seem more surreal. It was also funny that my hair held it's shape. Above water it completely went flat, but once I was under and it was weightless it bounced back into place!
