Worked at my job for 12 hours today, came home eager to get to my drawing board to work on my current project. After a shower and a meal, I chilled out for 10 minutes and promptly fell asleep for 2 hours and am now too tired to do anything. If your p ...

Thank you for adding. I love working with different mediums too. But mostly I stick to sketching and watercolors.

I took a moment and looked through your gallery and you are very gifted. I'm horrible human portraits. I can do them but they are never as good as I like and they take me hours if not days to finish.

I prefer landscapes and animals, cartooning. Since I mentioned pastes, How do you get that stuff off your hands? lol I'm not much on gloves. I was given a new set and I'm thinking about trying them again.
And can you spray a fixative on them so they don't smear when they are done? :)

:) Thanks!!!

Hi, you are very welcome.
Those pastel portraits are the first colour portraits I had ever done, so I was pleased with how they came out as I had also never used pastel pencils either. Before that I had only ever done portrait work in ordinary pencils. I don't like wearing gloves either, so its just soap and water and a good scrub lol  You can use fixative but don't spray it directly onto your work. I took them outside and sprayed lightly abover the pics allowing it to settle as a fine mist and then did it again a couple of times about ten minutes apart. I've found that if you spray the can directly at the picture you will be left woth horrible blotches all over it. Not good!

Anyway, I hope that helps a bit, have a great day and happy creating! :D
