inside the hives

I can across this image a few days after it was posted in 2008, and I unfortunately lost and didn't know how to find it till almost In 2010. Back in those days you could browse "Daily Deviations" by date, so I manually paged back into 600 days worth of selected pieces to find this.

I wasn't aware of it at the time, but the Frutiger Aero aesthetic that everyone is talking about in 2024-2025 is something I really appreciate. I didn't have a name to stick to it, but I recognized it and wanted to live in a world that had that sort of stuff in it. I always remembered (and still do) how this felt like a cozy loft, a place where I could possibly have spent my bachelor years and create all the art I want.

Indirectly, this image inspired me to do some home design, and I may take up interior design/that sort of thing as digital media is scorned and abhorred in the job market as of today. It is something I'm passionate about, and love creating livable spaces that can function for tomorrow, or give a splash of the past.

So thank you, sincerely for making me notice and poke at something I wouldn't have had interest in. Shifting towards that direction was one of my "grown-up" actions, rather than be a silly XDing person having anime art. Now I actually create (although with some pushback due to my underdeveloped art style), and hope to do something with interior design one day.
