Owl stock 2 by AdarkerNEMISIS Owl stock 2 by AdarkerNEMISIS
I aquired a owl today, the thing was in near perfect condition aside from broken bones. Was hit by a truck most likely.  Couldnt be salvaged for a mount because the bones are needed, but regardless its still going to be used for something ;)

It was very strange working with one of these birds. I snapped a few reference shots for fun. Anybody can use them.

Photos are great, but owls are totally illegal to own anything of them in the U.S.

Also since I believe you are Native American, the first question/answer explains that you cannot obtain them yourself:

Actually we can collect and obtain our own feathers. We can not hunt or kill the birds. Obviously. But. Yes regardless of what that law states, we can stop and pick up feathers and we can have them in our vehicles as well as on a federal reconized grounds.

I believe the law is placed there so You just can't say your native American and pick them up. You have to be a federally recognized and registered native American.  Just like we don't have to have a fur buyers permit to buy furs locally and we can even hunt regardless of the time of year if it's on our land. We do NOT have to a bid by the law as we are our own govern nation.
