Hero red by AdarkerNEMISIS Hero red by AdarkerNEMISIS
is basically what I call it. the 71 Challenger owned by my adopted parents. They don't take her out very much anymore and focus all their time on their 2010 challenger. So she's basically for sale. Almost original, they are the second owners. they did replace the engine but everything else in the car besides color is Original.

I was tempted to buy it, however I don't need another 71 challenger at this point. I just don't need anymore cars after this. I would just hate seeing this car driving around and it not be them.

Lovely car, bet she will got for a pretty penny.

Seems like all models of muscle cars made in the 60s, and 70s are my favorites. Most have a certain sleek bad ass look about them, not to even mention the monster engines that they were making then.

first 25k gets it LOL. I was offered it at 18k LOL but I still don't have that money right now!

60-70s are the best by the time we got into the 80s cars just went to shit!

That seems like a good price in my opinion. Of course the ones I have seen go for more, because they are -serious- collector's pieces. Pfft, last one I saw went for 47k, but it only had 4,000mi on it; still I have in the past seen them go for even more than that(speaking on average of most 70-75 models).

It's because everyone(makers) were switching from quality to quantity. I mean older cars from 76 and back last forever; while most things(excluding Audi, Volkswagen, some Dodge makes, and Bentley) from 80 to present time crap out in a matter of five to ten years, just look at some of the classics, they still run better than a new car right off the lot.

Fuck, I have a 67 mustang, and I have only had to take it in once for serious repairs since I finished it in 2009, the spindle broke. And on the other side my close friend has a 2013 mustang GT, and she just purchased it new last year, and she has had to take it in several times for various things, twice for serious problems, and three times for small issues with like the AC, and radio; but still, two times in one year for serious(AND VERY EXPENSIVE PROBLEMS, I don't remember what the issues were exactly, I think one had to do with engine issues, and another with intake issues) on a brand new car. It's ridiculous if you ask me.

Sorry for the rant, it just pisses me off. Very few makers give a shit anymore about the quality.

i also think the old cars have something really nice about them.

i hate hate hate modern cars. i can only stand the dodge and some utes.  but i refuse to own any of the modern cars.

the ute i am looking at is 99' hilux or something around that cause i hate the new models.  otherwise i would be getting a 4wd but a ute is more suited.

and then im gonna save up nd buy a 70-75' challenger or charger. whichever steals me first .. prefer a lime green but a red/black or brown will do me lol.

A friend of mine's grandpa is a mechanic and they only have older cars cause he says they run better.

Old cars do not run better, that I do not agree with you! when you own a newer car and a older car. I guarantee you after you spend 100 bucks every other day at the pump, and 50 on oil every other week, Not counting constant adjustments in the gears, and Carburetor's not wanting to start. Newer car run better by far!!!!

Keeping a classic or older car running your looking at more money than you would on a newer car! and when you wreck it, you better hope to damn that safty gear is going to work!

Trust me, I had my 71 as a daily driver for two months! it was expensive as hell, doesn't turn or shift smoothly. top speed is 70 and that's a dangerous speed because you don't know if the steering is going to hold up! it was fun to drive but NO I wouldn't have it as a daily driver again unless I absolutely have to!

probably the only reason Grandpa has older cars is because he doesn't know how to work on a newer one. Trust me kids out of Mechanic School these days only know how to work on car 3 years old nothing older all newer. they are never taught how to work with older cars its not a requirement LOL

if only i could have an older dodge car body with newer insides and all that. wouldnt that be perfect lol.

Shame they arent taught how to work on older cars ... i know there are a fair few select local mech's who work on older cars and they make a big buck. Lots of old cars around here.

Daily driver no way. Show reasons and like for night outs .. things like that lol.  If i could bring myself to drive it without the cosntant worry of someone crashing into it.
