Burgundy Red by AdarkerNEMISIS Burgundy Red by AdarkerNEMISIS
Burgundy red fox, or red burgundy cross.
I don't know if I even want to call her a cross as she does not have the cross like markings. shes pretty solid red with point no cross on her anywhere. so I would categorize her much like a red pearl- a red fox with pearl tips rather than black.

this is one of my favorite pelts, she is just remarkable. she has a deep rich red fox color but rather then black points shes burgundy, even her nose, and wiskers are brown. she also has a tail half the size she is. she is tiny compared to my others but just soft to the touch and very well furred. I immediately pulled her for my own personal collection. she will be Life Sized here soon.

Hahaha totally understandable reasons. Funds dictate everything and get in the way of a lot of fun. Hell I had a hard enough time picking eyes for Dearka if you remember. Lol I don't know how I'd be able to pick through more than a couple bases on top of that. Much luck though!

no its not, its a reference to a color. so when you decide to do "art" of a fox you have a reference of a fox coloration.

Exactly. That, and the pelt will later be made into art as a taxidermy mount ;)

That is a gorgeous fox! I actually saw a pelt just like it (though not mountable) at the National Trappers convention last week, labeled as just a "ranched red" although I knew it was something a bit different since it had the brown points like this one, rather than black. I never even knew about this color phase before, but it's beautiful. It'll make a great lifesize mount!

damn you should of gotten it, you would of sold it quickly from the sounds of people liking this color. I know a lot of different red phases like the pearl tips and the burgundy, like the pearl tipped are commonly known as Dakota Gold but their fur color is always lighter too not as viberant as this. I had one similar to this one last year but I traded it off, it was a white mark too. I never posted pictures of it.......I wonder if I still have them if I should. LOL

I love the blue I got from you, I want to make a blanket so bad of blue foxes..........I can dream right.

I seriously should have - Though at the time I didn't realize it was anything that special, and went for a pearl whitemark from the seller instead, which I've already sold. I definitely should have saved up to buy more foxes than I did, since there were so many to choose from there!
Glad you like the blue fox, I am so glad I found those since I had always wanted one of those huge ones, too. They really would make a fantastic blanket (..Expensive as hell, but fantastic nonetheless!)

Wow, I've never seen a fox like this ever before! You're definitely lucky to own such a beautiful fox! I love how in the fourth picture, there's red that flecks the white on her chest.

I had one similar a year ago but I traded it off to a friend before it arrived, I regretted it because it was abit of a white mark, absolutely beautiful fox, though the markings were much darker brown than this one. I just had to have it the moment I seen it and just fell more in love with it when it arrived. there was a kit that was the same color forsale this year as well and I wanted to get it too.

ok so you are talkinga bout the the fox coloration and not the color of the sunrise. LOL

this isn't anywhere near a golden sunrise. a golden sunrise is a fire factor fox a light dilute in red color as the fire gene only effects the red pigment in the fur. this is pretty much burgundy gold, where there is no effect on the red color but mutate the black pigment in the legs and all points on the fox but leave the red. which makes them are two totally different gene of fox.

hope that helps.

Oh I thought you were talking about the color or the gene lol, we both got confused, but yeah I meant the mutation lol!
Ok, I know almost all of the mutations, but I don't know much about the fire factor, I need to do more research on that.
Thus did help though, thanks!

Man, if only I could visit you once she's finished so I give her a little kiss on her precious forehead...
Good luck on the form! I can already think of a few poses that would really show her off but she'd look beautiful no matter what, honestly.
