The Silence of Death (1/3) by AdanyaCroft

The dreary imagery and dramatic aura add to the overall vibe of these piece. The suggester, who has asked to stay anonymous, has said of this artist's work: "To me, this is an exceptionally refined piece of work, deeply underrated, and one that truly deserved far more attention." Well done.

Description

LORE DUMP, LORE DUMP

--------

“I have seen with my own eye,

The creature we beautify.

The grasp of the dust,

The soil beneath us.

He said to me,

With the God Tree I will be,

I will feed her roots beneath me,

I will be a mere memory.

What will I have left?

No, I won’t die a useless death,

I will face the horrors until my last breath.

I have been cursed with this sight,

During all my plight.

His face is everywhere I go,

A mass of dust and bone,

Creature seen by me alone.

No, Death I won’t abide by,

For I am the one with the evil eye.”

- ‘Poem of a Madman’ found in ‘The Book of Curses’.

It's been ages, but I have figured out some more concepts that I'm very happy with... I'm now trying to write out the mythos of Armello, which leads us to my Sargon redesign. I personally didn't like the sorcerer-psychic thing he had going on, so I decided to make him into one of the three heralds of the Wyld. Instead of studying death, he is death himself.

I want to know what you all think of my reinterpretation!

(Also, because of my ever changing ideas, I will now have two galleries for active concepts and discarded ones, this way my thoughts are a bit more organized.)
