Library Demos
Last week I did four illustration presentations for the Northwest Georgia Regional Library System. I showed the kids illustrations from my book Samuel Shootingstar and then taught them to draw their own aliens based on sea creatures! We had a lot of fun at each of the four locations I visited. Don't Take it For Granted
Did you ever lose someone you thought would always be there? That's what happened to my mom. She was diagnosed with cancer, and a year later she was gone. Sometimes I worry that I took her for granted. I hope she never felt that way; I hope she knew I loved her. I didn't know I would miss her this much, and if I'm feeling this way now, I can't imagine how my dad feels. It's been two months, but it does not feel like it's been that long. I know I'll see her again in Heaven, but that's a long time from now...well maybe...you never know do you? First Journal First Baby
Well, I've never posted anything in my journal before, which is fine because I have no watchers. That being said, I'd still like to give it a go. Maybe someday somebody will read this, and if not I will read it...or...not. Anyway three weeks ago my wife gave birth to our first baby. IT'S A BOY!!! I love being a daddy, even during the 3 AM feedings and diaper changes. I did not realize I could love a stranger as much as I do my new son.I've also found that I love my wife even more through this special event we've created together.Well, that was fun...
