CSS Hacks to Help un-eclipse DA
4 min read

So, I just now found out how how to make a status update... That said, I did as suggested and used a Journal, (probably better). For those using or wishing to use custom CSS hacks in your browser for eclipse, to see un-cropped thumbnails in notifications:

._1wlQc [style], ._28QFs /*Thumbs*/

{

background-size: contain !important;

background-position: center !important;

object-fit: contain !important;

object-position: center !important;

grid-template-columns: fit-content(100%) !important;

}

If you want more white-space you can add and adjust this property within the {}: transform: scale(0.7);

If you're using Chrome, you can use this to enable custom CSS: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/user-css/okpjlejfhacmgjkmknjhadmkdbcldfcb?hl=en If you're using a different browser, search the web for "user css in ...". :meow: If you'd like something updated or changed, don't ask, just update it yourself, and feel free to share it! :D

This Journal is subject to change/update without notice. (Wow, the CSS for the same elements isn't even consistent across pages! A bloated mess! >_<)

And here's everything I have so far, some stuff being from when I played with it earlier:

"Make a journal sharing 5 deviations about a topic you love!"
Don't usually do the badge thing much, but how about 2 topics? Ponies and independent comics! :meow:

First page of a comic I've been enjoying very much, The Origins of Hollow Shades by LunarCakez (currently at 100 pages; pre season 1 timeline with Celestia and Luna):

Here are some others that are already complete, ordered by length:

One Special Talent by TexasUberAlles (3 pages about what makes earth ponies awesome):

Want Internet Sales Tax?
2 min read
Please make your voice heard against this unlawful bill that hasn’t died yet, H.R. 2193, the Remote Transactions Parity Act:
via eBay (FB and Twitter share option): www.ebaymainstreet.com/campaig…
via Etsy (Tweet to representatives): secure.everyaction.com/49aX_55…

According to U.S. Constitution, Article I, §9, ¶5, “No Tax or Duty shall be laid on Articles exported from any State.”

DO NOT let anyone get away with telling you there’s a “remote seller exception.” You can read the summary and text here: www.congress.gov/bill/115th-co…
IN SHORT, “Under the remote seller exception, a state may only require the collection of sales and use taxes by a remote seller if the seller: ……or (2) utilizes an electronic marketplace for the purpose of making products or services available for sale to the public.”

While I wouldn’t have a problem taxing the likes of Amazon and the items they them themselves sell through their marketplace, (actually, I think they should be broken up!), that second exception to the exception affects nearly all micro businesses. (Unless you advertise on a website, sell through your own website, and/or just do business through e-mail I suppose.)

A judge with any ounce of competency would strike this law down, but competency in general is in short supply these days. Unless some serious editing is done, Amazon would be negligibly effected compared to someone struggling to make a decent living through online sales.

...Kind of a shame my latest journal entries have been about politics. :hmm: I am actually still working on patterns when I can. :eager:

So, it looks like we’ve come full circle on net neutrality... again! :iconyoudontsayajplz:

Some probably remember my previous journal entry:
Net Neutrality! And Money!Some probably remember this issue from little over 2 years ago. Here was my previous journal:

So, while I’m not a fan of big assumed federal government, I’m also not a fan of oligopolies. Crony Capitalism is just as bad as Democratic Socialism. That said, eBay sent a message linking to https://netneutrality.internetassociation.org/action/?utm_medium=web&utm_source=ebay&utm_campaign=nn-action and Etsy sent a message which linked to https://www.battleforthenet.com/?utm_source=etsy&campaign_label=recommended_features&utm_source=adhoc&utm_campaign=2017_07_12-ADV-Sellers-InternetSlowDownSeller-AERIKSON&utm_medium=email .

The oligopolies are hard at work to make sure they get as much of your money as possible, particularly the telecom and federal industries, (especially when the work so closely together...  like sleeping in the same bed with the FCC’s chair being a former lawyer for Verizon). :iconfacehoofplz:

Fortunately, you can do something, make your voice heard! Here’s some notable avenues:

Here’s an article describing how to file a comment on the FCC website: venturebeat.com/2017/05/08/how…

Here’s the relevant proceeding on the FCC’s website: www.fcc.gov/ecfs/search/procee…

That’s all for now. I’m still working on the SubShed, (nearly complete), and preparing Mane and Tail patterns for Etsy! :D ...As well as another pattern still in the works. ^^

CURRENT UPDATE:

Still active, just been working different projects. One’s a simple 60 second valve timer that will culminate into a small production run of 10 units. The other is a SubShed, (a wide door add-on for our old shed), for dad to store the new lawn mower. An extensive project to be sure, but it will be quite nice when complete. :D ...As long as mom doesn’t immediately use up the space in the old shed that’s needed to actually walk about freely within the shed. :iconapplejackreally: I’ll be posting the process on my Patreon. :)

Current statuses:

  • OC for Mom – Eyes embroidered.

Currently Allocated (semi-ordered):

  • OC for Mom (This was actually a paid plush for those who might be wondering what happened to it.)

LOST FOREVER by INowISeeI

Planned Plush:

  • 2+k watcher plush giveaway/contest! …Just need to get motivated to make a great plush!
  • Near Life-size Pony
  • Microbe ponies!? … Well, maybe someday. :iconrarityshurgplz:

Other To-Do List:

  • Re-cover greenhouses with double 6 mil poly, (looks like next year unless we rebuild them differently)
  • Get rid of some of my old junk! GAH! Still haven’t done this yet. … Getting things queued though I think. Anyone want 20+ lbs of wall-wart or switching power supplies?

Bucket List:

  • Have a garage to be used for its intended purpose. :iconapplejackreally:
