Special Announcement:

I’m open for commissions, permanently. (Okay, so technically I’ve always been, but now it’s official ^^). I don’t care what it is, plush or light bulb related, drop me a note, (of course no NSFW). As before, those who pay will get served first since others may need to some time to gather funds. If I get enough requests that I can’t handle estimates, then I’ll have to be selective until I whittle my way down or see how things go from there.

Also, I had a welcoming discussion with , , and and concluded it would be best to sell/distribute an older pattern, Naz also suggesting my Mane 6 embroidery files. Though I was already fully aware of the technical risks, among other things, I hadn’t considered some of the cascading risks, (among other things). I’d be a straight up if I said I knew exactly what I was doing. Another thing that seemed to come to light for me was I suppose I have been devaluing myself and my work as a whole.

Apologies for what may certainly seem to be “Indian giving.” Though I haven’t given anything material or digital, I gave a hope for something that won’t be, at least not any time in the foreseeable future once again. I guess it testifies to the old saying about how “if it sounds too good to be true...”. I do my best to look out for the interests of others, but I know I can’t please everyone. This was the deciding factor for me: I don’t want to dismiss the many hours other artisans have already poured into their own unique patterns. I myself have said, (and do), value diversity, variety, and choice of style that people have in terms of making their own plushies. These people shouldn’t be overlooked or buried by a plethora of near perfect plushies made by people that had no part in developing them.

Now, I realize most who have already entered my giveaway may not have had any such intentions, but I was enlightened to learn of many that do. They want a quick pass to make a quick buck without the passion or effort to make something for themselves, (or really even for others since they just want their $$$). With an ideal pattern available, I’d obviously have no real way to distinguish the genuine people trying to pull their own weight form the ungenuine. For those who are entering to rack up points for my future plush giveaway, that’s fine. I’m still giving away a pattern too though. Sorry if I’ve disappointed anyone.

So, last week I got a lot done. It was amazing considering I was even attending a lectureship. This week will be painting and dealing with contract workers and determining the material cost of having a major part of our house siding replaced. All that said, I now resume my life, (painting ATM >_>). And have some Chryssie!
