It was just badly made... I watched 20 minutes through it and just stopped watching it because I couldn't watch it anymore. Sokka wasn't funny at all. They kept pronouncing "Aang" wrong and "avatar". It was just horrible and very disappointing :(

I agree. Another example of Shyamalan's incapability to make a suitable film.

I didn't see the film but I saw a few scenes online... Just, the bending was so amateurish and it looked really lame.

I didn't see the movie, but I could tell from the trailer that it looked too dramatic relative to the TV series.

Overly-dramatic would be best to describe it. It's supposed to be a film, not a pantomime!

indeed. Course, the same goes for all recent Batman movies; the early ones weren't that dark at all!

It's also no surprise that the directors of the anime (Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko) refused to comment about what they thought of the live-action.
But there were some parts in the film of which I thought were awesome. I just think it went too quick.

It supposed to be a COMEDY! M. Night basically raped the source material...the fight scenes were predictable, the actors looked nothing like the original, the pacing was thrown all over the place, and what's worse: Why were the names changed? Overall, it was uninteresting and does not leave much to the imagination. But this is just my opinion.
