A very small painting which I've made for a future exhibition on the island Rügen, Germany (inspired by the island itself, which I've visited last autumn).
This is the beginning of a small series of paintings.
Acrylics on cardboard, 24 cm x 18 cm

Hey Paul, thank you! Well, I used a photo that I took as reference for this painting.
It wasn't that easy though, because it's a really small size for a painting this detailed.

Love it. Great contrast. I reminds me of an Argentinean painter that does surreal juxtapositions between really detailed landscapes and pure geometric forms. Max Gomez Canle.

Oh I love this. Surreal art is so amazing when it’s done right. I love the way the bubble was done for some reason.

Thanks a lot!
Btw, it's supposed to be a sphere of glass or water - a bubble would be less visible (except the shiny reflection) and you would see the background through it without any distortion or darkening.

Oh, of course >_< lol. I was gonna say it was a chrome ball at first or something. That actually makes way more sense, so I'm glad my first guess was right :P And you're welcome!
