Note: Please don't ask for NFTs! I'm only selling original paintings, prints and licences!
I'm a freelance artist from Germany and I create surreal paintings, coverart and logodesign for bands etc.
You can also buy licences to use existing artwork that hasn't been published yet. You can see my art on many album covers of Metal bands (Martin Miller, Manilla Road, Attic, Denial Of God, Rezet, Septagon, Black Hawk, Gathering Of Kings etc.)
Feel free to contact me, commissions welcome!
Favourite genre of music: (almost) all kinds of Metal, Progressive Rock (especially early 70s), Post Rock and a bit of Jazz, Neo Folk, Classical etc.
No, a pencil (or a brush etc.) is not an artist, but you can't compare a pencil to an ai image generator. The ai Image generator can create a really detailed, sophisticated image in seconds, just because someone has some ideas and typed a prompt about that (of course, there are different levels of using ai, from the laziest one, being just typing a text, over using inpainting etc. to creating an image with only little help for some elements using ai image generator, but also creating parts from scratch. But most people who upload ai images don't let uns know their process and many don't even mention that it was created through an ai image generator).
but creating ai "art" is rather like telling an artist your idea of an image than you being the artist. The "artist" in this case is the ai image generator, and the images that come from that are based on art done by other humans.
You are only the one who has an idea, but cannot create that image yourself.
Why do you reply with name calling?
Whether you do love ai generated images or not, you can't deny that DA and other art themed websites where everyone can upload images is literally flooded with ai generated images, leading to skilled artists being noticed even much less often/easy than before.
Also, I don't understand, when I open DA, why the first page shows only ai images (at least at the moment) and even if I click on the filter "traditional art", there are some ai generated images among these...
DA was so much better before everyone could create images by just typing a text in a programm... (and no, that's not because I'm old and hate progress in general - but letting machines make art - based on art made by humans - that replaces more and more work of real artists - without whose work there wouldn't be ai art at all - is just not the kind of progress our world needs)
