Sketchup Tutorials on YouTube by aconnoll Sketchup Tutorials on YouTube by aconnoll
Tried to give a little back to the beginners of SU.. initially outlining how to configure your SU environment. I then focus on the importance of groups, components and how to select properly. Finally finishing with an example of making a car using 600v methods. I don't touch on how to use most tools as there are heaps of tutorials out there for that. When I was a beginner, I had trouble with groups, components and moving/selecting, so i've focused on those areas.. Hopefully some people will get something out of it. Cheers,

I was just wondering how I was going to get the full rounded curves around the body of my Mars rover, designed similar to the Lost in Space chariot!I know this is a year old for you, but, thanks!

Hi there, please use the rounded curves plug-in. Available if you just google "rounded corners plug in sketchup". You should be able to find it. I would recommend that as the easiest way to get rounded edges. Cheers, Adam.

This is great stuff, man, thanks for sharing with us! I am not much of a SU artist, but I really love learning new 3D techniques and software. :)

No worries! Some of the techniques are things ive just learned on my own but most of the credit should go to 600v

Very cool! Lots of those little techniques you're using are pretty freaking clever. I'll be watching all of 'em! :D

Thanks! Probably for someone like yourself (experienced) you wont get alot out of it but for beginners, it might help some people fight that initial frustration of feeling like you are getting nowhere.

Also the 600v method of shaping car bodies is fun and rewarding :)

No worries, still fun to watch someone else build! Also, I do like the style, you can build pretty great lines in very little time.

Cool stuff man!
