Hm, CDPR did say that the game is all about player choice and freedom. To me the latest trailer looked very GTA V-ish. A lot of ridiculous stuff. Other than that the gangs were introduced.
I didn't get that impression you got tbh, unless Johnny Silverhand following you around everywhere is the thing that makes it feel too on rails. Regarding story, yeah it is very story driven but that was their intention from what they communicated.
Perhaps the next Nightwire is going to change your mind... or confirms your worries.
Heh.. the fact you know the character names already makes me worried if it's safe to continue this conversation. (-: To be clear, I'm not dogging the game, I have no doubt the people making it are going to put out a quality production. And I realize my likes tend to fall into the minority category. But you comparing it to GTA does reinforce my impressions. It just doesn't seem to be shaping up to be something I'm going to like.
Ah, don't worry about it I'm not a zealous fan or anything like that. I'm just starving for a good open world sandbox game like Elder Scrolls or Fallout and Cyberpunk 2077 seems like it will scratch that itch.
The latest trailer looked like GTA to me because I recently finished GTA V, but I don't think it will be like GTA at all.
Anyways, I'm glad to find a picky gamer like myself. Cyberpunk 2077 is a very hyped game, Witcher 3 plays a big part in that, but I personally don't care about Witcher at all. I only play games I think won't waste my time.
