Kintaro Back Quarter by AceDarkfire Kintaro Back Quarter by AceDarkfire
Not much to say really, outside of showing off the details on the back again after not doing any renders of them for awhile now.

I did adjust the gold so it doesn't look a bright-ass yellow.

Awesome detailing man, no crits (aside from the "gold" as previously mentioned), just keep it up :) An action scene would be really impressive.

Very very nice work - anyone that can use a modeller with that kind of accuracy deserves applause :)

My only beef is with the ball joints - around the wrist, shoulder and ankle - I'm one of those guys though that has to take things apart though so its a very minor thing for me: just whether, for instance, all the hand motor function is in the Palms (which I would think would make for fairly weak hands in terms of strength and weight carrying capacity)

thats just my style though so I dont mean offense by it - Im one of those guys that played Armored Core for years and still cant imagine how how that little shoulder-mount hinge on those mechs' can absorb the recoil of a shoulder-weapon without warping (balanced though the weapon may be, the recoil on that gorgeous looking plasma cannon of yours must be a major bitch :D)

You are some talented bastard anyway :( people like you drove me to the coding-end of video games :p

Eh, the ball joints help keep things simple... even if they eat polygons faster than Rosie O'Donnell can eat cupcakes.

I think that was more to dark yellow than gold, however that's a great modeling. Good job.

Yeah, when they say it's a screaming yellow, they mean that it's screaming, "Oh, God, shoot me! Shoot me! :XD:

I like the gold, though. :)

Perhaps, but unless you were intentionally trying to be stealthy, it doesn't matter much...seeing as how your opponent is most likely going to have Infrared Optics, magnetic resonance sensors, you're gonna get pegged on someone's sensor.

True, but paint still serves some purposes.

Awesome render as usual. I see what cha mean with about the coloration. Its hot still, but you may hafi do a bit more experimenting. Gold is a bit duller, but shiny and with a bit of a "metal flake ish" spectrum. I don't know exactly how to put it. Check out some proper jewelry at a shop to get a better idea, is my suggestion. Awesome work still.

Yeah, it looks like it's going to take a bit more experimentation to get the "just right."

Are you going to catch the season opener with the Star Wars episode?

I'm skipping Sunday Night Football *gasp* to watch Family Guy.

I'm gonna make the attempt, it seems that, unfortunately, by the time it should have come on here... the damn station puts on something else instead

Pretty sweet coloration.... I've seen your works... and I wonder though.... have you thought of doing some action shots with a background? I think it would look awesome.
