KMI-110A Kamui by AceDarkfire KMI-110A Kamui by AceDarkfire
I've just been bored lately, and figured it was probably about as good a time as any to throw this in a very simple render, like I've done with some of my other models.

The extra length on the back of the feet for counterbalance is a nice detail.  Looks believable.

Bl**dy neat Kamui  only thing I would change is the size of the missile-launchers bays they are tiny compared to the Lasers. And not mentioning the "feet".

Is it the same model as on CBT and MekTek.

p.s. Can I feature your Mechs in the TLL gallery! :D

It's the same model, just more complete.

As far as the missile tubes, considering how cramped everything is within the side torso's, using smaller missiles would provide more ammunition, though with less hitting power. But to be honest, I've stopped thinking in BattleTech terms, which gets so out of whack most of the time, you don't know whether to laugh or cry, if not both at the same time. Though I do admit I got carried away with the number of tubes, as there was supposed to only be 5 of them.

Quite nice! It reminds me of the Fafnir a bit, but it sure is imposing.

Well, it isn't much bigger than a modern one. Considering the size of the armored canopy, I don't think this would be taller than 6 or 7 meters (but that's a guess).

But, since I haven't done any stats up for weapons, it's basically running naked as far as a combat machine goes.

well, I can certainly tell you one stat that you can't disagree with about it. o: it has more than one weapon. :3

For the model:
Wings3D -> [link]

For the render:
Vue 5 Infinite. (It isn't free, costs around $150+)

There's really nothing to the scene other than the Mech, the ground plane and the sky. So, it's pretty simple.

As far as weapons, I really haven't bothered setting them up.

On a technical level perhaps. To the somewhat untrained observer like myself it looks like a lot of work and effort.

I was just curious as to if you had decided to name the obvious weaponry on the mech. It's not such a matter of "setting them up", just what they they are based on or if the have a name. Just curious.

Awesome model! Shading is perfect, and the detail is great!

Though it makes me want to go watch Robocop, reminds me of that robot in there :P
