FHD-37 Foxhound in focus by AceDarkfire FHD-37 Foxhound in focus by AceDarkfire
Image is actually larger than what is being shown, download the image to see it fullsize.

Well, people noted it looks similar to the Kit Fox/Uller in Battletech, so I decided to make it the Kit Foxes opposite.

It actually isn't finished... but I just don't know what direction I want to go with it right now.

Currently sitting at 39,000 polygons before triangulation.

This is amazing. I do wish it wasnt light blue (not the most appropriate for a killing machine :D ) but nevertheless it does show off the insane detail well.

Can i ask what program you used to do this? Also is this polygonal modeling or using some other style?

Eh, it's better than just having it stand there.

Sure. To me it looks like it's dancing a ballet though. ;P I'm not trying to be an ass.. just my opinion. :D It's a cool mech. Wish I had time to do some 3D stuff. :(

Ooh, very sleek.

You know, it actually reminds me of a cross between the Kitfox and a Bushwhacker-- I think it's the sort of wide, low torso build.

I like the pose a lot.

I did get the idea for the cylinders/drums on the side torso's from the Bushwacker, so that's probably contributing to that view. just as much to that view as the giant vent-like structure protruding from the top of the middle torso to how it looks similar to the Kitfox.

And both are a couple of my favorite 'Mechs.

I hope those massive vents at the top aren't cooling anything significant. Imagine how they'd look in thermal imaging. Dat don't mean i don't luv it tho!

Nah, just putting panels there made those areas look bland, so I decided to go with vents. Still haven't figured out what I want to use them for, probably some kind of intake to bring in outside air to augment the heatsinks it already has, dunno, haven't thought that far ahead.
