BattleSmith in Focus by AceDarkfire BattleSmith in Focus by AceDarkfire
I wanted to put the model number in the title, but I wouldn't be able to fit it all.

I rendered this like 8 times with differeing colors (red, blue, etc) and finally just settled on making it a neutral color (black/dark gray), as it looked the best on it.

That's fucking insane. D:

How long did it take you to model?

Well, if you look in the scraps, you'll see WIP postings of it which take up something like 2 or 3 weeks, but that's only from when the first WiP image was posted, which doesn't include the initial development up until the first image posting..

So...I'd probably say 4 or 5 weeks of work.

I like this one best of all your mech designs.

Question: Does the pilot get a cup holder in the cockpit?

Nice. I've been watching u for a while, I can say you have improved quiet a lot! What software are you using for your modeling? And have you ever tried hdri lighting or texture maping just for a quick render?

Thanks.:)

Leaving YAFRAY behind helps make the model..err... shine, as well as the previous render of the Kintaro.. though it seems that one loses merit because the gold looks more yellow than gold. (and the gray slapped on it - eh, oh well, I'll probably render a black/dark-gray version of that one too).

That's cool. There are other rendering programs out there worth checkin out as well. Although I do prefer Blender's internal myself(at this time). Look forward to your next posting. B)
