Torrent was once a feral dragon. He roamed the forest of his homeland every day, often mimicking the songs of birds. However close to his home there lies a school for young wizards and warriors in training. One of the special courses offered there happens to be a military training (In the military soldiers ride dragons into battle, but they must have a strong bond before they join. In this course, the young men and women are sent into the forest to capture wild dragons and must take the time to form a bond in order to tame them). Torrent often sees the other dragons in aerial exercises from the seniors of the school, and longs to have a companion of similar stature. Because of this, he tends to hang around close to the school.
The next wave of students wanting to join the military were sent on an assignment to go find their dragons, with actual troops surveying from the sky and lending their assistance if things became too dangerous. A young man named Myles scoured the forest for a drake, and was startled when he saw a massive purple dragon that was halfway up a tree making bird calls at him. Torrent willingly let himself be “captured” as it was his dream to be like the dragons he so often gazed upon. He was then taken back to the school. The bracers around his legs came from the school, showing that the dragon belongs to someone, and is not wild.
Myles often got teased due to the fact that Torrent has feathers on his body. His classmates said that his dragon looked more like a chicken, it could even chirp like one too. Through all this mental abuse, his friend stood with him and spoke words of encouragement, “You’re dragon’s feathers won’t be a burden. I’ve heard that they used to say feathered dragons were the best and fastest flyers, because they evolved from birds, the first creatures to master flight.”
Torrent is a very sweet and loving dragon. He shows great affection toward Myles, and will often get emotionally hurt if another dragon or its rider doesn’t wish to befriend him. Torrent loves all sorts of critters, and often mimics the sounds they make for amusement. He’s also very curious, and sometimes he has a hard time containing it.
-Loves to sing the songs that birds make
-Fruits (He’s an omnivore)
Gale Wind: When flying Torrent “slaps” his wings together in front of him, causing a large gust of wind to sprout forth, knocking back enemies.
Air Current: His feathers allow him to better catch air currents, causing him to be speedy in flight, and not tire easily for long distances.
Torrent can’t speak English, but if he did this is what his voice would sound like (and probably sounds like to other dragons since he can communicate to them): www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6MltG…
