Day 15: the 8-foot milestone.

It's been a few months since I introduced Janek.

Remember back in September when he was exactly 240cm (7'10") at age 20?

Time for a little update, because lately, I noticed he started complaining again about clothes being too tight and doors seeming "lower."

We decided to do an official measurement. I had to get on a stepladder just to reach.

The result? 244 cm - exactly 8 feet tall! He grew 4 cm since September.

Shocking - at 20 years old and some change, he's still growing. The doctor said growth plates can close late, and putting on healthy mass (you can see how he's filled out in the shoulders and chest) probably helped maximize his potential.

Janek was super happy - you should have seen that wide, boyish smile when he saw the mark.

His feet? Still the same huge EU 55 - they didn't grow.

Now everything is even more extreme, he barely fits through apartment doors, his bed looks like it's for a child, and I feel even tinier next to him. But Janek is still the same chill, nice giant - just bigger.

Part of my daily December series featuring Janek.
