I'm aiming for art teacher. Its the ONLY job you can get in art and have a consistent pay. Everything else is get hired, do your job, get out, repeat until you've done it so much you can become one of those old white haired professors at a college or become the director.

So I want a job to pay for life that gives me a lot of extra time to work on writing and comics for myself. High school art teacher cause I love being made fun of.

Yeah, and I commend your bravery for that. Because I couldn't stand teaching the teenagers, even down the road, I just got away from. I can't stand kids and teenagers can often be shitheads to teach. (and I am still one while saying that :D)

Well you can get an art job at a REALLY nice college and if you get top marks, you can land decent well-paying jobs with the right companies. (=SADCAT is my source for that - she's in Sheridan now.) But only if you're getting the grades and the status to be the best in your field soooo...

Anyone to go into art as a career of any type is way braver than I am. It's hard no matter what.

You should try and be one of those cool teachers. The rare few most laugh with opposed to at. 8D

I plan on being a bitchy teacher but I want to actually teach the kids and not only make them draw still life all the time. No one ever deserves an A in my eyes really, because there is always a lot of room for improvement. ;]

You'd totally be the type to put generally A-average students like me and my sibling in our place with that. Ouch.

Not that I don't agree there's always room to improve. 8D Though I'd like to think I earned my A in art at the least.. I hope.

I would just like to point out that music is an art, thank you. X3

Fair enough, though I personally view it as a substantially different kind of art and thus a separate kind of attention. X3 (There isn't much in the way of a music section on DA to have included either.. I was more or less associating art on DA that people were actually associated as a career in xD )

None of the above.

I am an artist, but I want a job in criminal justice. I'm shooting for being a lawyer or a cop.

Well, I couldn't include everything, of course - sorry! XD *pea-brained*

Those sound like kick-ass jobs to be going for 83 Totally unexpected considering you've got lots of artistic talent to spare. *envy* ^^

Odd question, yes. But I look at myself and I wonder how many artists like myself are part-time. (I'm headed for a mix of chem/biology/laboratory sciences or geography, depending. Writing alongside always, but I've got enough interest to get a solid living out of a job in science.)

Thus why I don't pressure myself *too* bad to improve.. it's not like I am going to need to make a living solely off my art/writing . XD (I can only hope I'll get rich sometime and be able to quit working young. Haha. :D)
