For me it's the sight of blood that turns me right off.

Understandable. Even for those of us who draw blood all day.. I know I find it creepy seeing my own blood outside my body. (I got used to handling other people's tubes of blood but my own...)

My sister once fainted just by seeing a little blood on a piece of paper before she was about to donate blood- I don't think she did XD

I voted that I've never had blood drawn, because I honestly cannot remember what if was like (I must have had some bloodtests taken sometime, but I really can't remember :P)
I've had vaccines though, and the only think to cause me mild discomfort is the pain, but it's nothing I can't live with. I don't think I have trouble with needles or blood either o_O

Yeah, my sister is the same as you - she can't remember needing blood drawn. (Though I imagine she's had some done once or twice sometime.. o.O)

You're lucky then.. apparently even some of the phlebotomists who draw blood can't stand the sight of needles or blood when they're having their own bloodwork done. o.o True story.

Oh come on, I'm drawing blood for two weeks, some of you HAD to see this poll coming ;)

As a quick explanation, the reason I'm curious is because not everyone who comes into the hospital is afraid of needles. Some don't.
Others don't like seeing blood. Others don't like having their blood removed from their body (which is why I gave it its own option).
I differentiated the needle and 'breaking skin' because some are afraid of having something pierce their skin, not just needles.

I thought about the option of having to be poked multiple times, but I doubt anyone likes that, really. :B

I think I've got a good start since some of my patients say they don't even feel me poke them. (:
