A cell phone is charging downstairs, ringing/vibrating loudly every 5 minutes. Owner not home. Owner could charge phone in room. If diplomatic request owner turns off/silences phone while out of the house fails..

I know what I would and wouldn't do, and I'm sure some of these seem silly, but because this has been happening so many times in an hour, I've mulled over possibilities that I probably wouldn't do myself. But the ideas are there. If you tell me to ignore it/move elsewhere in the house: I can't because my concentration is awful and there is nowhere else in this small house to move. Even in my room, I will be able to hear the phone through my closed door. Yup.
As a side note, I'm expecting to have to entertain one of these. Diplomacy has a 70-80% fail rate with Owner, here. :T Despite that it shouldn't be difficult, it just is when it comes to Owner.
Yeah, I go the calmest route I can usually.. not that I wasn't thinking some options I'm fairly sure are considered 'psycho' by most. XD The 'out the window' approach would be my equivalent of taking a mallet to the damn thing. *shifty eyes*
I don't really get it either.. the idea of a cell phone is that it's supposed to be mobile.. as in one takes it with them everywhere, not leave it at home (and downstairs where a uh.. *cough* less-than-kind household resident could potentially fiddle with it) half the time. Maybe that's just me though; I was kinda forced to get a cell phone when I was in high school because I otherwise disappeared for 12 hours every day at or going to/from school.. my mother was not wanting to worry any more. xD

Heh, kinda the same reason with me. But now I find it inconvenient without it. Cell phones are like smokes; ya don't need 'em. But when you use them for a while, you find you can't go around without it.
