In which I attempt to draw traditionally and confront my two comic page nemesis..es... .... layouts and backgrounds. Hiiissssssssssss. There are imperfections abound, but I'm trying to just.. draw anyway and do better next time. Otherwise these pages would never go up >_>
Originally this page was just going to be pencil, but Lehanan's beautiful comic shading made me think I could try something minimalistic shading-wise. (I'm only not linking her comic because it's definitely 18+.. not hard to find though ;D) Plus showing it's a darkened area is much easier with the greys. Jem also came out much better with a bit of additional shading. That Jem is a pain to draw since its shape is somewhat loosely-defined, and the consistency isn't the same as flame. Rrrgh.
I skipped over it since it wasn't important enough to draw, but the act of flipping on a light occurred in-between the last two panels in addition to the door opening. Psh.
Who is this Parsons man, I wonder? And what is Lilac sneaking around for this time..
