so, whats new with me?  not much, my family has been keeping me buisy but I do have three sword projects in the works, these are taking more time do to other commitments and they are more complex in their finish and design.I have a claymore (basket hilted) curved sword in the works, it is based on a painting of a Scottish lord's champion from the 1700sthere is a La Tene sword I am working on as well, La Tene is a bronze age sight in France, my blade is steel thoughand there is a sort of 13th Warrior sword, you know, "give an Arab a sword and he makes a knife" type sword that is in prototype right now but should turn out fairly cool

I built this one along the lines of a middle eastern sword.  The hilt is after the fashion of a Mameluke sword but the blade is Japanese.  The rivets are brass with copper washers hand hammered (peened) the scabbard will finish up later this week

Well, I am bad at keeping anything that looks like a blog or journal, but I should update a little. I have moved from just collecting swords to making them. It is frustrating and exacting work as many of you who work with your hands to create art can understand.
