I am putting together a pitch for the first Birrin book, after several years of generating material to fill in their world. I want this book to be just the first, so how should I introduce the Birrin?

442 deviants said An illustrated narrative: a Birrin character goes on a journey across part of their world, a series of paintings depicting their journey. [Examples: Dinotopia by James Gurney]

411 deviants said An in-universe natural history book: a birrin organisation conducts a transect or wildlife survey of an area, paintings depicting their activities, environment, and detailed studies of animal and plant life. [Examples: Expedition by Wayne Barlowe]
26%
292 deviants said An out-universe natural history book: written by a neutral narrator in the form of a nature/history guide. Each habitat or topic forms a chapter, which then includes details of the subjects including birrin activities in the area, wildlife, technology etc

Interests
A lot of people noted that my art reminded them of Subnautica, or that I should work on it.

So I contacted the studio and looks like I will be! You should be seeing some of my designs there :)

Activity

The Giant
Working on two characters for the Birrin book!

Both species, related through evolution, share a complex and sometimes bloody history. The more technological (and smaller) birrin dominate the planet, while the giants, somewhere in intelligence between parrot and human, have managed to survive in spite of birrin industrialisation.

In a few places the two peoples have found ways to live together.

Hey Alex.
You have said you're into real-world technology, including aeronautics, and that you try to make the birrin aircraft as aeronautically accurate as possible while also trying to keep the designs alien. That has gotten me wondering about one thing I would like to ask you: have you considered studing aerospace engineering as a means of understanding how, for instance, gases interact with an aeroplane wing? Being into aviation industry, I understand how tremendously helpful aeronauric know-how would be in creating fictional while also functional and thereby believable and breathtaking aircraft desings.
