This was drawn in ink and colored with watercolors.
While his actual page is still up for the time being--I am pleased to say that his "Daily Deviation" was stripped from him.
Indeed. Ive known her in person for some 25 years. her fairy stuff has vast similarities to some of your work. I had wondered if some how she was an inspiration. She was one of mine for a while back in the day.
She used to do tech pen detailed drawings so tiny that when the word thumbnail sketch was used, that she thought Thats what it ACTUALLY MEANT. SKETCHES THE SIZE OF THUMB NAILS, AND IT BECAME A THING WITH HER FOR SOME YEARS. SUPER TINY DETAILED DRAWINGS. LOL.
Pardon my caps lock. my button sticks, im never yelling and i tire of constantly going back to correct.
This next is Not an insult.
I wish I had the ability to leave off my details at times. To just do more basic line drawings then add broad shading with water color or copi etc.
I would be able to churn out far more works than I do.
I envy the simplicity of your style. You can move on to a work where inspiration takes you almost at a whim, where I often feel inspired to move on, but my work is incomplete, then I feel trapped in having to finish it, and the inspiration wanes.
Any advice there?
Love this Abigail!
But what I'm really curious about is what type of paper you use for your watercolors?
I'm just getting into the medium and your paintings have such a wonderful texture.
but anyway... i love this
Would you attempt to do other versions of mermaids; Melusine, Selkies, Finnfolk, Nixies or Tritons?
