April 30th is Hexennacht (or Walpurgisnacht) - the witches' night! A night to bathe in moonlight and frolic with all the fiends of the underworld Pixel: Moon
I turned 30 on the 21st of April, so for my birthday I wanted to make something fun for myself and celebrate this year's witch's night (and full moon!)

And a HUGE thanks to faestock for the beautiful reference poses that inspired me!

I really love your artwork! I could look through it all day long!

I always find Hexennacht a weird holiday. I think your drawing more than matches the Wikipedia description!

Saint Walpurga's Eve (alternatively spelled Saint Walburga's Eve), is the eve of the Christian feast day of Saint Walpurga, an 8th-century abbess in Francia
, and is celebrated on the night of 30 April and the day of 1 May.[3][4] This feast commemorates the canonization of Saint Walpurga and the movement of her relics to Eichstätt, both of which occurred on 1 May 870.[5] Saint Walpurga was hailed by the Christians of Germany for battling "pest, rabies and whooping cough, as well as against witchcraft."[6] In Germanic folklore, Hexennacht (Dutch: heksennacht), literally "Witches' Night", was believed to be the night of a witches' meeting on the Brocken, the highest peak in the Harz Mountains

In parts of Christendom, people continue to light bonfires on Saint Walpurga's Eve in order to ward off evil spirits and witches.[1][11]

Not the vision of the Medieval church, but much closer to what the Witches actualy were doing.

I just LOVE the dynamic dance of the two witches standing on their broomsticks in the right corner.

I love all the lines and flow of this picture. It feels very smooth and fluid all around. It helps me feel comfortable, relaxed and happy when I see the different people dancing and having a good time.

Happy belated birthday, by the way.
