Solution:

You have to re build the icon cache database. Just follow this instruction step by step. You can take a print out of the page if you are not sure what are you going to do.

1. Close all folder windows that are currently open.

2. Launch Task Manager using the CTRL+SHIFT+ESC key sequence, or by running taskmgr.exe.

3. In the Process tab, right-click on the Explorer.exe process and select End Process.

4. Click the End process button when asked for confirmation.

5. From the File menu of Task Manager, select New Task (Run…)

6. Type CMD.EXE, and click OK

7. In the Command Prompt window, type the commands one by one and press ENTER after each command:
CD /d %userprofile%AppDataLocal
DEL IconCache.db /a
EXIT

Note: %userprofile% represents the path to user profile folder.

8. In Task Manager, click File, select New Task (Run…)

Its quite easy few steps. You don't need to buy any third party software to do this. Follow these easy steps:

1. Open Movie Maker from Start Menu
2. Click on "Add Video and Photos" tab
3. Select the folder you want. open the folder, either insert them one by one or press [ctrl] + [A] to select all, click "open".
4. Now, you will see all the photos has been added.
5. Click animation tab. Select the animation effect you want for each photo object. Note that, Video files can also be added in between.
6. Click "Add Music" if you want Music.
7. Animation Speed can be adjusted from "Visual Effects" tab.
8. You can choose "Auto Movie" if you want the things to be a bit automated. Otherwise you have to add Title, Caption, Credits and there animation manually.
9. Save the Slide show as you want or you can choose "Publish Movie" to directly upload to YouTube. Done!

Vishal Gupta is the original creator of this trick.

1. Click Start button.

2. Type "regedit" there (without quotes)

3. Right Click over regedit link and select by clicking "Run as Admin.."

4. Accept the security prompt ( if appears).

5. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTDesktopBackgroundShell

6. Right Click over it and create a "New Key"

7. Give it any name, so that you can remember, for example, I have given it "Name".

8. Now, go to the right sided pane, change value of "Default" to your desired name by right clicking over it and Modifying it which you want to show in Desktop context menu (its very important step). I have chosen ~:: ABHISHEK ::~ in this tutorial.

9. Now right-click on the new key e.g; "Name" and select "New -> Key". Give the new key name of command.

10. Right Click on the default value and select to modify it.

11. I have used explorer.exe in this example to open Library after clicking my name in context menu. But you can use any other command key as you like.

12. If you end here, the thing will look like this screenshot, but fully functional.

13. For obvious reason, you will want two more things, (1) to change its position and (2) Add an icon to it.

14. For changing the position right click on the right sided pane and create a string value named "position".
15. You can modify now the data of the string value to "top" or "bottom"

16. Simillarly, create another string value, named "icon". You have to enter the data for the icon string too. If you set it to explorer.exe,13 , it will give the users icon. You can play with the numbers starting from 0 after the comma, each number will give unique icon as compiled under explorer.exe. I have done it in 64 bit version, in 32 bit, the number may be different.

Hiding any drive in Windows 7 / Windows Vista machine is very easy and simple. Follow the following steps to hide any drive on Microsoft Windows 7 / Windows Vista without any software:

Step 1

* Click on Start and then select Run to open the run window. Alternately, you can press Windows key and R key together.

* Type diskpart in the Run window and hit Enter key of your keyboard.

Step 2

After step 2, you will in Diskpart program. Now type list volume and press Enter key of your keyboard.

Now, you will see all the partition lists of your hard disk.

Step 3

Select the drive that you want to hide. Just select that partition's volume number and type the command select volume [Volume_No] to select that partition and hit Enter key to execute that command.

Note: Volume_No is the number of that partition which you will want to hide.

For example, we want to hide volume 4, which drive letter is E. So, to select that partition, we have to write the following command and hit Enter key:

select volume 4 (For example)

Step 4

Now, type the following command:

remove letter E

And then press Enter key of your keyboard.
By following the above steps, you can easily hide any partition from your computer. Sometimes, after hiding your partition you may need to restart your computer. If you don't see the effect, then restart your computer and after restart you will see the desired partition is no longer in public i.e. it's a hidden partition now.

Here is the method:

Steps:

1. make a new folder ( name it as you like )

2.  Inside this folder make a ( TXT ) file & copy inside it this (the entire thing). Copy and paste this code inside the New Text Document:

Quote:
Quote: cls
echo OFF
title Folder Private
if EXIST "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" goto UNLOCK
if NOT EXIST Private goto MDLOCKER
:CONFIRM
echo Are you sure you want to lock the folder(Y/N)
set/p "cho=>"
if %cho%==Y goto LOCK
if %cho%==y goto LOCK
if %cho%==n goto END
if %cho%==N goto END
echo Invalid choice.
goto CONFIRM
:LOCK
ren Private "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
attrib +h +s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
echo Folder locked
goto End
:UNLOCK
echo Enter password to unlock folder
set/p "pass=>"
if NOT %pass%== password here goto FAIL
attrib -h -s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"
ren "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" Private
echo Folder Unlocked successfully
goto End
:FAIL
echo Invalid password
goto end
:MDLOCKER
md Private
echo Private created successfully
goto End
:End

3. After u copy the Commanding go to the bold words (or try using shortcut- CTRL+F and type password to locate the line) u will find this word : password here (Change it with any password u like.) is :

eg: if NOT %pass%== example1234 goto FAIL
//so ur password here becomes example1234 .//

4. After that go to Save as... & name this file as "locker.bat ". Be sure to change the "Save as type" from "text" to "All Files".

5. Now back to the folder & u will find a ( LOCKER ) commanding (locker.bat). Double Click on it & u will find a new folder (Private ):

6. Now copy what u want in this "private Folder" & after that come out of the folder, and Double click on locker again. It will open and ask if you want to lock your folder? Y/N ?

7. Type Y. your private folder will dissapear.

8. If you want to UNLOCK your folder ,go to (locker) & type your pass and you will see your private folder.

9. Enter the password and hit "Enter".

Note:

It not only hides the folder, but hide all files... and try opening it without entering password, it'l take you  to the control panel...

Also, if u want to store files on your Pen-Drive, u can use this script. No Software Required.

Incase u delete your Locker file (just in case), then u can make a new one (but with the same password) and open it from that.

Alternatively, u can keep this locker file somewhere else, and when u want to open ur folder, only then bring it back to that place .
