Desert Eagles | Render

Modeled in Cinema 4D, the model resembles the actual thing, but it's not accurate at all (click for steps)
I tried shading it in v-ray but somehow i ended up back in C4D's glorious physical engine
the silk mesh was simulated using a cloth tag, and then dropped onto a bunch of cubes as collider objects to elevate some parts above the others .
Post work done in photoshop, where the scratches were added as well .
