Yikes, it's been a while since I've updated anything on here. ^^; I haven't had much inspiration lately, so I haven't drawn much. Or any. Blah. But, I've become obsessed with analytical cubism, so expect some really different additions to the gallery soon, and I'll be starting in on an art history degree in the fall, so I'll likely be submitting some of the works that I create for my classes. I apologize for not keeping up with my messages or the Sisters of Gion group! I've done what I can to resubmit the pieces that expired, so if you submitted something and heard nothing, it likely just expired because I wasn't around. ^^; I'll do better about keeping up!
So, I haven't posted on here for a while, but I promise I've been busy! If you want to see what I've been working on, you can check out my costume blog:

I've been a busy little costumer over these past few months.  I've been up to my eyeballs in fabric, getting ready for the big Star Trek convention out in Las Vegas, which is coming up in August. :D I'll be sporting my new Monster Maroon uniform, which I made earlier this year for a local Sci-Fi convention, and I'm currently working on a Romulan Tal-Shiar uniform, and, the one I'm most excited about, my Cardassian uniform!  I also have a couple of display pieces to make, since I'm sharing a dealer's room table with another lady that does prosthetic appliances and hair pieces, and I have a couple of commissions that I also need to do.  Yeep!  Lots and lots going on.
I've also recently had the pleasure of joining Fleet 31, a Star Trek RPG and cosplay group right out of my local area here in DFW!  I'm Gul Iliana Malek of the warship Rakellen, and I'm having a great time with it. :D
Anyway, for all the costume goodness that's going on right now, check out my costume blog:
Mistress of Disguise
I'll post pictures of finished costumes here once I've actually completed them. :D

After a very, very long hiatus, I've finally cleaned out all the cobwebs and got my costuming blog back up and running.  I centralized everything onto one blog (instead of the 19 I had before!), and streamlined the pages so things are allot easier to find.
I've posted a couple of new costumes, and have started to post my commissions, as well, so you'll finally be able to see the things I make for other people. :)
With con season coming up, and lots of Star Trek costuming on my plate, you can expect to see allot more stuff posted in the near future. I should actually have about three more commissions going up in the next couple of weeks!
Please take a moment to look around, and I do love to hear comments, so feel free to leave some!

Hey there, everyone! Just wanted to check in and let everyone know...I'M NOT DEAD! I haven't checked in for quite a while, but I should have some things to upload pretty soon! I've been swamped with schoolwork and costume commissions, and I'll be uploading pics of finished costumes here pretty soon. :D Sorry again for the long absence, and thanks for sticking with me!

Exciting news, everyone!  I'll be attending SoniCon in Plano, Texas this November as their Cosplay Guest of Honour!  I'll be hosting panels on Working with Craft Foam, Cosplay 101, and Advanced Cosplaying, as well as judging the Saturday night Cosplay Contest.  Come out and see me!

So, who's going?  Unfortunately, I won't be there the entire weekend, but I do plan to have Finale Katara and (maybe) the House of Flying Daggers green uniform done in time.  I'll be there Thursday, Saturday night, and Sunday. ^^ Anyone else going to A-fest?

I know, I know, I'm a little late coming into it, but fear not! I'm working on a piece as we speak and shall have it ready to submit for tomorrow's prompt! (What can I say, I just can't finish one every day. ^^;) So, I'll have stuff for the last three days of Zutara week, which is much better than I did last year! :D
And also, I may never draw hakama again. Bloody pleats...

Well, A-kon is over, and we're heading into summer.  Since I won't be able to attend A-fest this year (cries!) I have until November to make my next costumes.  Since there's a special cosplay contest at YuleCon for Christmas themed cosplay, Better than Stuff is going to do either a Fate/Stay Night or XXXHolic group based off of the Christmas artwork.  But, besides that, I do want to have something new.  Madame Red is currently in the works, but I really want to do Yuuko Ichihara's green kimono with giant, soul-eating hair from XXXHolic.  I'm also working on finishing up Ashlotte for next year's A-kon, since there's a new cosplay contest specifically for video game characters. ^^  Better than Stuff is also doing a cosplay walk-on at next year's A-kon as Queen Esther - HellKitty will be in the white gown, and I will be in the black gown.  :p  It's basically an excuse to make a hugely detailed Elizabethan gown...like I need an excuse.
So, anyway, that's what's on the menu so far.  I'm also opening back up for cosplay commissions, so if you or someone you know wants/needs something made, I'm your gal! ^^  I'll have a commission website up soon, and I'll post a link here when it's up and running. :D

We'll be adding all sorts of stuff in the future, including new pictures, tutorials, etc, and please feel free to suggest things to add to make the page better!

Hmm...so I'm wondering, what is it that my watchers would like to see me draw?  I usually have to rack my brain trying to figure out what to do, so any suggestions are more than welcome!

So, I know I don't post here as often as I should, but it's not because I'm sitting in front of the TV, watching costume dramas, and eating bon-bons.  (Usually.)  I assure you, I am working on stuff!  Lots of stuff!  Pretty, shiny stuff. ^^  I don't post in-progress pics here because I don't want my gallery cluttered up with a bunch of half-finished projects and whatnot, but I do update frequently (on a daily basis) on my progress on Facebook!  I also have many more pictures of the garb and cosplay that I post single pictures of here. So, if you are interested in following what I'm doing, please feel free to friend me on FB, www.facebook.com/biancavonbave… be shy, I love making new friends! :D

Katara is giving me fits!  Zuko, for once, looks perfect, I couldn't be happier with him!  But bloody flippin' Katara has me pulling out chunks of hair!  I think I may let the piece I'm working on rest a while while I draw something else, or work on my fanfic or something.  Blah.  Maybe I'll draw a character from my fanfic.  =p

Guess what I have again!  My old tablet!  I stripped the frayed wires and spliced them back together, and now it's working just fine!  Expect arts from me. ^^

Have I mentioned lately how I'm going out of my mind without a tablet?  ~headdesk~  I'm watching one on ebay right now, and hopefully I'll be able to snipe it and get it into my grubby little paws soon, because I just can't take it anymore.
I blame Civil Twilight.  Their song "Letter from the Sky" is frickin' amazing, and it has all sorts of images dancing around in my head going, "Draw me!  Draw me NOW!"  >.<  I want to try my hand at something new...new settings, new angles, etc.  Yurg.  Must...get...tablet...
Thank you to everyone that gave me a llama, btw!  I lurve my llamas. :D
Anyway, since I can't draw (~dramatic sigh~) I've been writing, and have set up an account over on fanfiction.net.  You think I'd be writing Zutara stuff, but...I'm not.  I may eventually, but right now I'm working on a first hand account of the siege of Bah Sing Se. ^^  It's fun, I had forgotten how much I like writing!  Anyway, if you're bored, check it out: www.fanfiction.net/~littlerien

I'm at 9,000 pageviews!  When did that happen???  Alrighty, since my 10,000 kiriban seems to be right around the corner, the person who screencaps it for me will get a shiny piece of art, your choice of subject!  :D
And also, the llamas rule.  I'll love you forever if you give me a llama badge.
